In a news release sent out at 5pm CDT, the Nashville Predators have exercised the "cure clause" in their agreement with the city of Nashville.
This means that if the Predators paid attendance falls short of 14,000 per game next season, the team can buy its' way out of their lease with the city.
With the "One Team Nashville" push and the "Save the Preds" effort along with many other smaller efforts, the team is well on its' way to meeting that number and then some. The corporate community is reacting well and have really stepped up. It is a shame it took putting their backs to the wall, but better late than never.
