I am hearing a new possible deal for Marleau has really ignited the Habs front office. Another team has apparently been involved in the Marleau scene and all I could get out of my source was that the team was in "The Northeast Division."

I am also hearing the Penguins may make the most "major" trade in the next week to bring in a young stud defenseman.

Willie Mitchel could be headed back to the Wild(e3), The Penguins (e2) , or the Caps (e2)...This move would clear 3.5 from the Cap for the Canucks who may just be up to something after all.

Paul Kariya's house was on the market in Nashville, now it is off the market (e4). Rumours of a two year-nine million dollar deal coming.

The Rangers, Bruins, and Stars have inquired about Marek Zidlicky.

Edmonton and LA are still pitching Wade Redden in an attempt to get him to wave his no-trade clause. "A deal could be done in a second with either team," a source said. Personally I think he would be much better suited in Edmonton.
