I will be chatting live from the Sovereign Bank Arena during the Flyers/Devils Pre-Season Game...I am looking forward to it. Just go to the Chat room around 7:30 pm.
Update 6:09....O'Neil to Sens is NOT likely happening...per a few sources.
There are reports out that Jeff O'Neil is talking to the Sens. The Carolina Hurricanes and Jersey Devils also have interest...as do the Bruins
There is a rumour that Kasparaitis could be on the short list to join the Buffalo Sabres if Teppo is going to be out longer term...Of course Danny Markov rumours are still out there for sure.
The Canucks rumours from last week are still VERY real. A source that I really trust who coaches on the "O" tells me a former player of his who is playing in the Southeast division is aware that the Canucks would like him.
Although Selanne continues to deny that any other team is an option I am following up reports on at least three teams that are interested and are making pushes. Montreal and LA being two of the three. The fact is that the longer this stretches out the smaller the Ducks window gets and if Teemu wants to keep playing he may have to look elsewhere. I have heard all the reports that say it is Ducks or retirement, and I have even heard Teemu state this. However, talking to others behind the scenes I continue to hear that there is more that is being kept behind the scenes. The Kings could be an easy option.
Markov to Ducks (e3)...This on the heels of news that Schneider will be out at least a month.
From all reports Sam Gagne has just looked "Unreal" in Oilers camp. Makes you wonder about this last draft. Is it possible that we were spoiled with Crosbys, Malkins a Ovechkins and just didn't realize how good this draft was? Or is it possible that there were so many good players in this draft that the pool was watered down?
I will be reporting throughout the day and will also be attending the Flyers/Devils pre-season opener in Trenton..."What Trenton Makes The World Takes."
