Former first rounder Lars Eller has been diagnosed with what I'm being told is a touch of mono. He will have a blood test on Friday to determine the extent of his sickness and how much time he'll miss.

Eller joins Alex Pietrangelo, Nicholas Drazenovic, and Philip McRae as players who have been affected by mono in the last few years.


Bayda will attend Penguins camp on a tryout. He originally had agreed to attend camp with St. Louis before changing his mind after the Blues inked Derek Armstrong to a 2-way contract.

The Blues have 49 players under contract with injured Captain Eric Brewer being #50.
