FLYERS JUNIOR PROSPECT UPDATES

* Flyers 2015 third-round pick Felix Sandström turned back 21 of 23 shots as Team Sweden downed Team USA Blue, 5-2, at the World Junior Team Evaluation Camp in Lake Placid, NY, on Sunday. Fellow Flyers prospect Oskar Lindblom skated on the Junior Crowns' top line with Adrian Kempe and Axel Holmström but did not figure in any of the scoring.

The Swedes take on Team USA White at 2 p.m. EDT on Monday. The game can be viewed via subscription website Fast Hockey.

* Team Canada takes on Team Russia at the World Junior Summer Showcase at 10:00 p.m. EDT on Monday. The game will be televised nationally in Canada on TSN. The Canadian roster features Flyers prospects Travis Sanheim, Travis Konecny and Nicolas Aube-Kubel. However, the roster -- featuring 13 defensemen and 24 forwards -- will rotate players in the lineup during the week.

Sanheim is in Group A, paired with Victoria Royals offensive defenseman Joe Hicketts. Konecny is in Group B, playing right wing on a line with Michael Dal Colle and Brayden Point. Aube-Kubel is slated to skate on a Group B line along with Anthony Beauvillier and Mathew Barzal.

Flyers Alum Birthday

Dimunitive checking center Mark Lamb was born August 3, 1964 in Ponteix, Saskatchewan. Acquired by the Flyers in the March 1994 deal that sent former first-round pick Claude Boivin to the Ottawa Senators, Lamb dressed in 19 games for Terry Simpson's Flyers late in the 1993-94 season (one goal, seven points). The next season, he played eight games (two assists) under new head coach Terry Murray before the Flyers sold his contract to the Montreal Canadiens.
