I have done an Update to all 30 Players on Your 2010 UFA/RFA/Trade Rumor Chart-Click Here.

Remember the rumor from last year that had the Canadiens swapping #1 goalies with another team? Well......it's back...

The rumor comes from a VERY reliable source and states the Habs would move Carey Price to another team for their #1 + a top six forward. And while I have not been told the names by my source "on the record" I do believe this is a trade Habs fans could wrap their hands around...if it is to occur...

Of course this rumor has resurfaced while Price and the Canadiens are said to be at a bit of an impasse on contract talks with the main sticking point being years. Of course whenever "years" become an issue things get ugly because it shows (or appears to show) a team's concern over the player's ability top stay on top of his game.

As an aside....not connected to the trade rumor...there are also rumors the Habs like Antti Niemi, who appears more and more likely to be available. Niemi and the Hawks are in arbitration as we speak, but it is widely believed that the Hawks may walk away or trade Niemi if the ruling is over $2M per...(which it should be)

On Kaberle...

Over the last 24 hours here things are changing quickly. I am not sure why this changed, but I am hearing from multiple sources today "something has shifted the Kaberle sweeps to the LA Kings." I also hear the Leafs are very interested in some good names from LA, and they may be able to get them. I will of course continue to discuss this with my sources throughout the day, and I will update when appropriate. One hint...Friday at 5pm is coming...

On Fedotenko and the Flyers...

I am hearing a familiar name mentioned around Flyers land today, and it is that of Ruslan Fedotenko. Rusty (his nickname) was a very popular player around these parts, and has been a Flyers killer since his departure. But also, he is Ukrainian...and you know who else is Ukrainian? Zherdev.

I am not saying the two are pals, (far from it) but what I am saying had been the biggest knock on Zherdev was his unwillingness to assimilate into North American culture in any way whatsoever. I have talked to many of his previous teammates who tried to bridge the gap and left more and more frustrated with Zherdev.

In Fedotenko the Flyers could get a very serviceable player who speaks Zherdev's language and could help him with the media and adjustments. Fedotenko has drawn interest from several other NHL teams and has at least one KHL suitor (but prefers to stay in North America, as he has lived in the U.S. since 1999 and his wife is American).

The Flyers would have to make some cap space, so it could be time to see if the LA Kings or Maple Leafs are still high on Dan Carcillo...

Andrew Ladd Signs...

Ladd has signed a one year $2.33M Deal with the Thrashers..avoiding arbitration.
