*QUICK HIT RUMORS AS UPDATED ON THE RUMOR CHART
* Leafs and Lightning. It is going to go right down to the wire, but I still believe they get it done. The Lightning are in a great spot here as I have written before, and much depends on if the Lightning do indeed move Lecavalier and get their defensemen that they covet. Otherwise it will come down to how much the Leafs value Schenn and Tavares. That really is the pivot here.
* Greg Zanon. The Preds are confident they can sign him, but other teams including the Thrashers, Senators and Ducks like him alot.
*Alex Tanguay. I am not confident that the Canadiens are getting this done at all. I am hearing NJ, and Colorado as destinations...and a little bit of Toronto.
*Mats Sundin. If he really wants a cup many are now feeling that Sundin is plan B in Detroit should they lose Hossa. He would have to play for very little...but he might. I also would not rule out a return to Toronto for one final season at all.
*Mark Recchi. I am hearing that Boston and Recchi worked quite well together and may continue. Buffalo and the NY Isles are also possibilities.
*Mark Parrish. Two former teams: Minnesota and the Isles. The Wild are the team to beat here.
*Johnny Oduya. The Devils are starting to look like they may be able to get this done. The Isles and Oilers...
*Mike Komisarek. Will the Isles bring back their hometown kid to play with Hedman? Many teams have large interest including NJ and Atlanta.
*John Madden. Could add the well priced experience needed in Chicago. Also hearing Colorado and Pittsburgh with interest.
*Brian Boucher. Could be returning to backup one of the current Philly Netminders.
*Antero Niittymaki. Likely headed out with Dallas and Colorado showing the most interest. I get this feeling that Nitty becomes a really great goalie in the NHL.
