As alluded to earlier today, these two teams have been linked by several hockey pundits all year. As I said earlier, many names have come up including Gomez at one point as the Rangers believed they were very much in on Sundin.
Now the Rangers still are of that belief and the rumours have been flying around here all day.
Here are a few names I am hearing...as of now I am not hearing any definitive trade possibilities
Names it sounds like the Ranger are interested in: Gilbert, Schremp, Smid, Garon and former North Dakota sta, Taylor Chorney, and Tough guy D-man Peckham...

For the Oilers I am hearing bigger names like: Rosival or Dubinsky...the only minor name I have heard from the Rangers so far is...Brampton Battalion's Evgeni Grachev. This kid recently notched a four goal game and rumours continue to swirl that a CHL team in Russia is wooing him...
I will update if I get more info on actual possible trades.
Still working on the Hawks.....and the Leafs deal, which may be with Calgary.
