Sorry for the late blog, today is a travel day and by tonight I will be back in my office for the first time in 9 days, and frankly I can't wait! Vacation is great, but I really miss talking to sources all day long and digging. Family is so important though and I had a blast in Florida with my wife and two kids.

As Garth correctly reported, Eric Staal could possibly be in the market soon, and no less than 3 sources have told me that the team to look for is Edmonton. That a deal of Cogliano and Grebeshkov for Staal and a pick is in the neighborhood of where these talks are heading. It is rare that I get names going the other way and even more rare when all three sources are reporting similar names, yet this deal seems unlikely at best. I would think Carolina could get much more.

Anyway, just reporting what I am hearing. Have at it!

I will have more tonight when the family settles in, including Dallas and Pitt trade talks...
