So happy August hockey world...

It has been widely reported the Bruins are talking to the three big named d-men out there -- Cody Franson, Christian Ehrhoff and Marek Zidlicky -- but at least according to one well-placed source, these players may be a Plan B of sorts, and the Bruins first option could be Dustin Byfuglien.

Byfuglien is a player many out there would love to grab and a player who more and more people are telling me is likely playing out the stretch in Winnipeg and will test the free agent market before signing an extension. All this of course means the Jets will be best off making a move before they would need to LedChuk him...

One thing is for certain: I can't remember a year when NHL teams had more unfinished business this late in the summer.

More fun for us!

Have a great day.
