Sources are confirming what one source told me late last night..The Sundin sweeps really has come down to Montreal, Vancouver, NY Rangers, and Toronto.

Here's a take on each with quotes from various sources that may give some clues.

On Montreal...

*"There is another move that would happen if Sundin decides to join the Habs I am told."

*"The pressure to compete for a Cup this season in Montreal will add a sense of urgency, but not as much as is being played out."

On Vancouver...

*"The Canucks players have been steadfast in talking up the organization to Mats."

*"At first the travel issue was huge, but it's only half the year, and many of the long trips will be gone. In the end, the contract is so huge and still very much on the table."

On the NY Rangers.

*"Look for either Zherdev or Dubinsky to be moved out if they can land Sundin...The Oilers have been very talkative with the Rangers recently. I wouldn't be surprised if either were to be moved to Edmonton."

On Toronto.

*"It's hard to get the temperature until the Burke situation is resolved this week."

*"Mats will be a Leaf. It is a foregone conclusion. In the next two weeks"

I don't agree that it is a foregone conclusion, but I do agree that Mats will be signing in the 2-3 week range. My money would still be on Montreal. I think Mats will see that as the most intriguing place to play...Should make for some fun late-season divisional games...
