On locker clean out day back in April, Eichel said that the he felt strongly that he needed to increase his strength and musculature in order to become the power center that he aspires to be. Eichel was hard to knock off pucks last season due to his long reach and his blazing speed. He won the maturity of his battles with his talents. His goal for this season is to win battles with his strength by shielding pucks. A bigger, stronger Eichel will be more competitive in the faceoff circle.

Alex Nylander has been a busy man the past couple of weeks since he signed his entry level contract with the Buffalo Sabres.
@SnipeShow98 has been working out and skating with some of his new Sabres mates. Nylander wants to be ready to take a veteran's left wing position when camp opens in five weeks,
Nylander will compete for a top six left win at his first NHL training camp in September.
If Tim Murray succeeds at trading away troubled left winger Evander Kane and he fails at signing former Harvard forward Jimmy Vesey, a strong camp performance by Nylander could earn him an NHL job. Or, at least a nine game NHL tryout in October.
Murray has said several times this summer that Nylander is a candidate to be the left winger for Jack Eichel and Samson Reinhart.
