The Sens have some really good players but I think they're too top heavy and pretenders as a result.
I don't like their bottom-6. I feel Chris Kelly, Chris Neil, Tom Pyatt and co. bring little to the table. As good as some of their players in the top-6 are, there is too much riding on them and those kinds of teams rarely go anywhere come playoff time.
Craig Anderson is really good but he's in and out of the picture -- understandably, and rightfully so -- and I'm not sold on Mike Condon, nor the bottom half of the defense.
I just think there are too many question marks to consider this one of the better teams in the East, or NHL.

Ahh the Sens, really there's not much to understand here- there are like a lot of the teams in the 13-20 range in overall league standings except right now they are 12th.
This is the decent Sens when things are going their way- good bounces etc etc etc. They might be a decent team when they are at their best and such but they are not a contender. They are missing something, an extra piece of talent. Get that and they could be a contender but so far they are far too inconsistent to run with the big dogs.
It's not they aren't good, they are not good enough, yet.
