George Jefferson would be proud. Newly acquired Shane Prince will make his Islanders debut tonight in Vancouver playing alongside John Tavares. The 23-year-old was a healthy scratch the last six games for the Ottawa Senators. When Prince was in the lineup he had been playing with Chris Neil. It will be interesting to see if Prince gets any time on the power play, something he was sorely lacking in Ottawa. Prince is truly moving on up!

Some good news as Calvin de Haan was activated from injured reserve and will be in the lineup tonight. de Haan suffered a lower-body injury February 15th against the Detroit Red Wings and missed the last five games. The Isles went 3-2 in his absence.

Ryan Pulock was "called up" from Bridgeport this afternoon and will also be in the lineup tonight. Pulock was "sent down" yesterday. The move was clearly clerical as he had to be on the Sound Tigers roster by 3pm yesterday in order to be eligible for the AHL playoffs. The 2013 first-round pick made his NHL debut Sunday in Edmonton. Pulock played just under 15 minutes and had three shots, one which put a hole through Oilers goaltender Cam Tabot. In his postgame interview with MSG's Shannon Hogan, Jack Capuano was pleased with Pulock's game and said that the power play really did not get any life until Ryan Pulock was out there. Oh Cappy!!

Now Isles fans get the six defensemen in the lineup that they wanted since October. Unless he completely flames out, Pulock is not going anywhere. Adam Pelech may be back in April according to Newsday's Arthur Staple. Pelech is suffering from an upper-body injury. His last game was January 14th against the Rangers. The 21-year-old has played in six games this season and has really impressed the team and fans. That would push fan favorites Brian Strait and Marek Zidlicky further down the depth chart.

Thomas Greiss will get the start tonight, his first since the 3-2 OT loss to the Capitals on February 18th. Jacob Markstorm will start for the Canucks. The Islanders have to be happy that Ryan Miller is not starting. Miller stole the game against the Islanders on January 17th. He stopped 47 shots en route to a 2-1 OT win. The Canucks have own the Islanders recently going 6-1-0 in their last seven games and have outscored New York 24-18. The Isles last win: March 10, 2014 when they scored seven in the third period for a 7-4 win.
