Solid post
Tough to to argue
I'd push for an add. But nothing too significant
Nuge and a 3rd
Trouba - petan - HB77
Again, I think it's fair as a straight up deal but I wouldn't be pouting about either of these.
the thing is the Jets don't have a ton of D prospects past Josh Morrisey. I was hoping the Ladd trade would bring one back.
If I'm Winnipeg I'm waiting to see how the draft lottery goes, if we win then absolutely no need to trade for a center, if the Oil win, I'd rather we make a move for Mathews than RNH but RNH would be my second choice and allow us to draft 2 D in the first round.
I think if I'm the Oilers I am looking at my first round pick and RNH as a way to bring in 2 very good D. Hall would also bring back an excellent D but I assume your keeping him, Eberle brings less than Hall and RNH and I dont see Yak getting you guys much at all.

I still like my trade proposal the best:
To EDM: Jacob Trouba, Mark Stuart, Nik Petan, 2016 Winnipeg 2nd round pick, 2017 first round pick
To WPG: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Nail Yakapov, Edmonton 2016 1st round pick |

Yes!!!
No need for trouba now
But for realz, they want oesterle and khaira (who have been showing great) down in the A in a successful situation and a playoff chase
So we replaced them with warm bodies. Lame, but probably for the best long term for everyone |

Trust me. Pardy is in no way the answer the the Oilers Defensive problems. He can be a decent two way D-man but he drives the coaches nuts with his defensive mistakes and poor choices.

I will never forget the time that Chicago fan took Pardy's helmet. That was the best Pardy moment ever!!!!!! |

He can't be worse than Jultz and he won't get the same ice time |

I could not stop laughing at that drunk dude.
He looked so dazed after putting it on. |

Jets should make a deal with Oilers......it would be preferable to acquire some players who know how to win, but in the interim, maybe adding players who know how to tank may be a good thing..... |

For all you Chevy haters who have pointed out many, many times how we got nothing for Frolic last year, please take note of the Islanders and Bruins not trading pending free agents Okposo and Erickson who they now may both loose for nothing. My point, this happens!! when your trying to make the play-offs you sometimes have to risk loosing someone for nothing. |

Jets landed the only 1st rounder and its current year!
Chevy did a fantastic job with both UFA's this year , Buff on a good contract and Ladd for a very good return.
Today was perfect for the Jets as we know wait for the lottery and explore options at that time.
For comic relief I would suggest check out Maple Leaf lineup tonight! |

Was hoping for a few things that did not happen:
- Finding fresh new starts for Postma & Cormier.
- Finding a taker for Burmistrov

I think Postma and Cormier are just career AHL'ers, i dont see them ever having a regular job on an NHL team
Burmi could end up a draft day trade or part of a bigger deal |

If Brandon Pirri gets you a 6th Rd pick then Postma and Cormier are better off as depth I guess . Strange market today. If I was anyone else but Stamkos I don't know if UFA's will do great this summer |

If Dallas goes to the western conference finals and Russell plays 50 percent of the games in the first two rounds, then that 2nd becomes a first. But yes, straight up jets got the only first round pick. |

Lol! Fair question but no do not work for TN. Just a fan of Chevy and the drafting he and his team do. Go on Wikipedia Atlanta Thrashers draft history and compare to now. It's incredible. We have prospects galore and 3 picks in the top 35 so yeah , just a fan of the work they have done to stock up. |

I hope the Jets pass on RNH, Drouin and Yak. Taking RNH means they would have three small centers. RNH is injury prone. Yak is unproven and both he and Drouin appear to have attitude problems which the Jets don't need. PASS. |
