My 5 yr old daughter sings some Bieber songs her Mother lets her listen to. The kid is too young & cute for me to shatter her heart & tell her he SUCKS! 5 is too young to introduce a child to Slayer yet anyway, give me a few more years.

Don't worry, there is plenty of time.My kid used to like Miley Cyrus, my wife had me stop on the way home from work to pick up a No Doubt album because my kid was singing "Hey Baby" at the same age as yours. It's cute and we have it on video.
She also held on to the chest and banged away to Season to Risk's 2nd album when she was learning to walk. Introducing her to bands like the Violent Femmes and the Dead Milkmen, pretty much in utero and albeit turning down the volume on the potty mouth, helped her form her own sense of musical taste. From around 5 she would ask to listen to the Repo Man soundtrack whenever we were driving together. She never heard Pablo Picasso until she turned 14 or so. Got that disk for her when she turned 17 for her car. She was never big on metal, but LOVES punk rock even though she listens to Drake. Slowly introduce her to some catchier alt stuff and hopefully the curiosity will grow.
