Apparently, but my guess is the ref just used that comment to ban him but in the refs mind it was more like the total sum of his comments was inappropriate and disrespectful. But who (frank)ing knows. I got banned for commenting a gif of John Stewart eating popcorn on a Tanner thread. But before that I was shredding Tanner non-stop for his terrible cherry-picking of stats and I could tell it was really getting to him.

Assuming you mean hanleyaj...the few times I've dealt with him, it's not bannable posts - he walks the line of always writing about hockey, but I totally understand the frustration. I deal with dolts like that in the Garth thread regularly and want to drop em, but they're not the ones who go overboard, it's usually the people ripping into "him" (that sort of poster) in frustration.
