I use BC Pain Society. I didn't need a medical reference to get my membership. Just had to sign a note with a public notary stating that I wouldn't resell anything that I bought. There isn't another dispensary out there that can touch their prices either. Believe me I've looked. Free shipping with orders over $250. I don't even smoke all that much anymore. Mainly just get it for my girl. She's a pothead. For Valentine's Day I bought her a pink bong full of flowers. lol

That's right where I used to live. I would walk to work and home sometimes down Pender or Hastings and never had issues, just asked for smokes and change every 3 steps. Just keep to yourself and it's fine.

Oh for sure. And they're getting pushed out and into a smaller area. They need a poop tonne more mental health care there and there is no funding for it. My mother in law works down there for a couple of different "homes" and my wife worked in a group home there for a few years so I have a little more sympathy than most. I haven't been for a while, but the last time I was there I was really disappointed in the new Save on Meats. I had watched a documentary on them opening it, and it seemed cool that they were employing a lot of hard up people, but it is an over priced yuppie diner.

City officials will always claim facelifts are good for local jobs and the community, but it never ends up that way. Property values go up- and the poorest get pushed out.
Many of the developers have been extremely disingenuous about the social housing costs or cheap single occupancy rooms they've promised as well.

It's those kinds of areas that the conservative ethos of work harder, try harder, no handouts blah blah pisses me off the most. Those people have no chance without serious assistance

All oiler fans, bunch of screens , even these small bleachers for a giant screen

I'm away this year obviously, but ill be back in van for the summer and hit it up a few times next season

Then down in van for the last 2-3 years for school.

Out east working for a year then back to van to finish degree end of the summer

Kind of like whats happening in Edmonton with their new Ice District....I got family there and the poor will pretty much be pushed out of there and probably end up where Rexall is now...dont know if its true but I do know when new big things happen in citys its not all rainbows and candycanes

I'm not looking forward to it at all. Ticket prices are gonna skyrocket and getting to and from the games is gonna be ridiculous. Traffic is already so crazy downtown. I try to be nowhere near there during rush hour, which is now from like 3-7pm.
