Nelson may have played the most obnoxiously bad game of his entire career. - eichiefs9
Nelson can be as frustrating as Lee and Strome at times. |

I thought I saw him flub a pass or two. Other than that he was invisible, except when he was exchanging shoves with a Canuck. Did I miss anything else? |

On several plays with not much pressure on him, he was losing the puck on simple stick handling plays |

I didn't think he was out there prior to that faceoff? Was he?
I can't remember. - eichiefs9
I honestly have no idea. I fast forwarded through the game this morni morning. I wasnt referring so much to last nights game as much as I was talking about how often we've seen it in the past and commented on it. |

He made some really, really egregious errors. Those flubbed passses were nearly extremely costly. He had a putrid night. But it happens. Key is shaking it off and getting back on track Thursday. Everybody gets one. |

Yeah, I don't think he belongs out there with any significant time left on the clock. But to take an important draw I'm more than fine with it this year. It really appears that he has put in a ton of work at improving his skills on the draw and it's showing. |

I thought the game was surprisingly chippy. For some reason, I don't associate chippy play with the Canucks. I think of the classy Sedin twins. |

Really? You don't associate chippy play with a team that harbors sh!tbags like Derek Dorsett and Alex Burrows? |

He sure made a hell of a defensive play at one point last night. Probably saved a goal picking up his man in the slot and lifting his stick. |

My first reaction was also "wtf are they doing?" until I looked at the stats and realized that he's been head-and-shoulders above every other centerman. He's improved a lot in that area. He was usually a sub-50% guy on the draw. - eichiefs9
Chief I don't mind JT taking the draw but put another center man like Franz out there and another defensive reliable forward out there like kuli.
If he wins the draw which is 55% to the good then usually we are ok. It's when he loses the draw and he's out there with his regular line mates that it becomes a defensive liability which we have seen numerous times this season bite us in the ass. Just makes sense but I guess not to Crappy. Almost every team will put 2 Center iceman out there at the end of a game just incase one is thrown out of the circle. This guy just does things that go against hockey 101. |
