So I started a fight by asking you for examples to your post about "Numerous" times its happened this year and you couldn't and then instigated this by calling me a douche and I'm the one with no Knowledge and good at starting sh*t??????
- Vukota

Come on your on here enough and you watch the games. The last game in Washington it happened and the just the other night in Calgary at the end of the second it happened and everyone on here was talking about it. thats just twice in the last 3 weeks.

But I guess you don't agree with me because you questioned me about it?
So I guess you are fine with JT and REGULAR line mates being out there at the end of a game.

Your right I'm wrong JT is a defensive juggernaut second to Teows and Bergeron. Now move on to someone else opinion on here and ask your snide question and try to mock them, because to me your just a know it all douche that honestly doesn't know a hell of a lot about the game.

Do two agrees cancel each other out?

I know there's one out there but I can't come up with a clever response for this.

Yeah that's why the two guys that tag-teamed your mom the other night no longer exist.

Listen, I promise I'm genuinely not trying to start in with you here. But Tavares wasn't even on the ice for the Flames goal the other night.

I am back again to intervene and save the day. Hey we all know GArth should have done more at the deadline but we also know that Garth is not the brightest hockey mind out there. ?The Islanders are set up for the same script this year. BArely make the playoffs ousted in the first round. I think this is the last year though we have to deal with that since the new owners should come in and clean house and get rid of the trash. Lee, Bailey, Strait just to name a few should not be on this team at all. Coach should be changed as well. I have hope in that

Not for nothing but Tavares is a great talent but that first line can not play defense to save its life. It is possible one of the worst defensive minded lines in the NHL

I'm not trying to get involved in this either but I think we all agree he's not the guy you want out there with a minute to two minutes left in the game up by a goal. It's not a big mystery he sucks defensively.

First off you said that it happened numerous times this year at the end of games and periods did you not? All I said was "Numerous times"? I honestly don't remember it happening that often this year. You got all bent out shape because I asked for examples. JT leads the team in faceoff % so why wouldn't you want him out there for a late faceoff? Now you listed the last game in washington as an example. Yeah JT lost the draw if that indeed happened but that happens are you saying JT who is the best faceoff guy they have shouldn't have been out there for that draw? As far the Flames game I have no idea what the fack you're talking about because the Flames scored 5 minutes into the game off a turnover at center ice and that was the only goal scored. Nobody called JT a defensive juggernaut. We all know that's not his strong suit but that was never even the topic we were talking about faceoffs. So when you couldn't provide me with accurate accounts you got all bent out of shape called me names and completely changed the topic from faceoffs to JT's defense

I agree with this but at what cost? There's not a (frank)ing chance in hell I'm trading either of those kids for Hartnell. There's a snowball chance in hell that was the asking price. It would be a beyond lopsided request.
- Cptmjl

The isles have enough forward prospects to part with one. Add to that this year last draft etc. You can't say oh but so and so is gonna be great cause we don't know that. Take that asset and swap it for an improvement now. Like I said Hartnell (or a player like Hartnell) would have made the isles better come playoff time.

But when he is your best face off guy doesn't he kind of have to be out there? If you don't value late faceoffs then I guess he doesn't have to be out there. It's really a catch 22 because as bad as he is on D he is their best faceoff guy

I certainly don't disagree that Tavares' line shouldn't be out there in a defensive situation.

That said, sometimes (sometimes) the guys who can play defense need a rest and you have to put someone out there. As long as Capuano isn't going to make a habit out of it then I'm fine with the fact that sometimes you just need to give players a rest and someone needs to be on the rink.

You're the one who says it happened numerous times which we now know isn't true. Don't get all bent out of shape when you make assumptions and then get called out on it. Maybe you should look up the definition of numerous. Because if it indeed happened numerous times like YOU said most us would have no problem remembering all these times but weird nobody really can

I haven't looked at the face off % for the team but looking at it from what ive seen from JT especially this season he's the last person id want out there with a couple minutes left down by a goal. Just my opinion. Now with three seconds left I get it if he leads the team in face off % by a wide margin couple minutes a minute no.

See below:
This is what I wrote. Nice try though

Butch explained that it's because JT is considered the best centerman at draws...
- JohnScammo

It's when he loses the draws that that becomes a liability. In this case there was only 3 seconds so basically it's the draw and done.
I would have 2 guys like Kuli and Fraz out there with him if you want JT taking the draw late.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My first reaction was also "wtf are they doing?" until I looked at the stats and realized that he's been head-and-shoulders above every other centerman. He's improved a lot in that area. He was usually a sub-50% guy on the draw.
- eichiefs9

Chief I don't mind JT taking the draw but put another center man like Franz out there and another defensive reliable forward out there like kuli.
If he wins the draw which is 55% to the good then usually we are ok. It's when he loses the draw and he's out there with his regular line mates that it becomes a defensive liability which we have seen numerous times this season bite us in the ass. Just makes sense but I guess not to Crappy. Almost every team will put 2 Center iceman out there at the end of a game just incase one is thrown out of the circle. This guy just does things that go against hockey 101.

That's fine and I respect your opinion but there is a reason teams have their best faceoff guys out there for the important draws late in periods and games. Faceoffs late games are very important
