Depends on what you want to look at, no? You'd look at all games if you wanted to see career numbers, look at individual years if you wanted to compare years and see if there's been improvement/decline.

Yes. My point was that the HERO chart posted was just for his short career, where he was a rookie on a bad team. This, to me, will equal bad stats. The best way to look at it is get the big picture (career) then look at still a large enough sample (years) and see correlations/differences. This will show development/decline of a player. A mixture of both will give the desired effect.

They have way more issues than just that. They need to rid themselves of about 3/4 of the team actually...... which in effect solves 2 through 5 on your list and at that point, you'd stop caring about coaching because they'd be winning.

I don't think it's coaching. I totally put this on the players. They all need step up, and yes, lots of dead weight on the team. They need Stamkos, Auston Matthews and any other blockbuster trade TM can make happen to get this team out of the dump.
