I wouldn't say that. I am going into the offseason not expecting to sign Stamkos. I think the sabres will go after him, but we might come up short. If we do sign him, it becomes a banner offseason, and we make the jump into the playoffs next season.

I think that's a better mindset to have about the offseason. Going into free agency with the expectation that we will sign him, is almost the foundation for disappointmen in my opinion.

I realize this has probably been expressed already, but it was the McDavid Eichel game. Eichel is our franchise player, it was his moment, his building, and Bylsma started Larsson. It's just not right, our best player should start the game.
