Sorry 365. Just caught me off guard. With the state of the team ATM.

- cabin

It's the state of the Lehner(lenner) that im more worried about when it comes to draft position.

I'm officially joining the "fire Disco Dan" bandwagon...

..I can't remember who said it last night, but they were right...Rolston could have gotten more effort outta this team

I am sick of watching this franchise pack it in year after year...have some (frank)in respect for the fans and atleast try and win

Let's see . Ruff, Rolston, Nolan and now Bylsma .......... still think it's the coach huh?

People just got sick of seeing ruff after 12 years, it was more about change than anything else.

The other 2, well it says a lot that they're no longer nhl coaches...

I'm a little shocked we got completely worked over at home against the worst team in the league. It looked like we were on the PK most of the game. The Oilers had us on our heels the entire game. Horrible defense on the goal to end the second period (Off sides and called back) but it was a complete lack of effort defensively that caused that goal.
We looked like the Sabres of last year last night. Terrible!

I am starting to sound like a broken record but we are too slow of a team to compete.
If we don't make a big splash at the draft and in the off season heads need to roll in management.

Only keepers should be ROR, Kane, Eichel, Reinhart, Lehner, Ristolainen

The rest can be offered for trade

They are fast ... we are not.

Ruff is the reason the Stars are in a spunk and won nothing in 12 years when he was with us. Rolston and Nolan were whipping boys for the tank who don't belong anywhere near the NHL. Bylsma is overrated and if he doesn't make the playoffs next year he should be canned

For this year, Id change that word to acquire. In other words if they do go on a mini run and pick 8th, I think they'll explore all options, not just drafting.
- Sabresfan-365

I just cant see us going on a mini-run atleast until the almighty ryan O is back

This is the most convoluted argument I've heard in a long time. You think NBCSN should show a game between 2 of the leagues worst teams, rather than a game between 2 playoff teams?

Also, PIT and WSH are much larger markets than BUF, and EDM delivers ZERO ratings points for NBC in the USA.

Please, I understand that you wanted the game on, but almost no one outside BUF or EDM cares.

Most cases I agree but Lehner is feeling it and we play the leafs 3X, Flames, Jets, Habs X2, sens in this month.

It's unlikely but can't rule it out.

Well that was (frank)ing embarrassing..

Was sitting behind the net that McDavid scored on. Risto just let him blow by and it was an incredibly weak shot on net that Lehner HAS TO save. Unacceptable.

Bogosian was awful all game as was Gionta and Girgensons. Foligno not much better either. Been saying this for weeks. Was even more evident on the ice.

Pysyk played a great game. Eichel had a few flashes but was otherwise not very good. Not saying he's bad obviously but he's been on a wicked cold streak.

That pass from Reinhart to C O'Riley was INSANE. Need more of that from him.

This team has some of the worst puck awareness I've ever seen. Multiple times they didn't know where the puck was or weren't in the right position. At least three times each by Girgensons and Gionta....

I would be careful with this line of thinking when talking about athletes/careers. I'm all for analytics (went to school for it), but you have to remember that players develop and get better as their career grows, then they'll peak, then decline. A much better way to view a player is a large sample of games (50-100 or about a years worth) as opposed to multiple years. If you really think about it, does Risto look the same as he did when he was a rookie? I wouldn't say so, and that's why using this years analytical numbers would give a better indication of where he actually is vs. where he was when he was a 19 year old rookie.
- SDSabre

Depends on what you want to look at, no? You'd look at all games if you wanted to see career numbers, look at individual years if you wanted to compare years and see if there's been improvement/decline.

While I agree Pitt and Washington are more well known you're factually wrong in thinking they are bigger hockey markets. Buffalo has the highest ratings in any NBC sports games this year slightly above Pitt and way above Washington. If you take out population they have a much stronger fanbase than Washington who couldn't even fill half the arena before Ovi was there.

4. moulson
5. slow team

Very easily schedule

Winnable or at least likely to get a point in: Calgary, Leafs, Canadians, Hurricanes, Canadians, Senators, Leafs

Not likely: Wild, Rangers.

The lines on off days don't seem reflect what's on game days. I've learned not to worry about them.

girgens is beat out for the 3rd line center by a career ahl player and larsson gets bumped to second line

but I am out of line suggesting girgens gets traded

***Dont confuse this with how many people are watching the games.

6% of Buffalo is nowhere close to 3% of LA, Washington ETC

I can't bring myself to ever say that. I don't care if it came down to whoever lost last season of the game and whoever lost got best chances... I'd still want us to crush them.
