Those that come on here and preach negativity don't come with solutions.
get tougher or have more grit are not solutions, they are platitudes.
How do you propose the team gets tougher, who do you acquire, who do you move, how do you fit it under the cap?
Its easy to come in and trash or praise a team, but coming up with realistic ideas is not easy. - walshy66
It never hurt having Engelland of Bortuzzo as 7th dmen. Insert them into the lineup for games that might have a degree of physicality just to have some kind of push back against heavier teams. Engo and Bortz were both serviceable dmen as long as they were on the bottom pairing and they weren't there to "prevent" anything, the were however there for retaliation purposes. Carrying a cost controlled, big guy, who doesn't mind mixing it up for games that they might come in handy is a good way of not getting pushed around and beaten down like what happened last night. When Malkin is the toughest guy on the team we're really doing ourselves no favors.

Oh great the Rangers which means this smug little piece of $hit will be lipping off to us all night with his dopey childish wit and his pure non understanding of the game. My mother passed away you little POS, what do I expect from you though you classless little kiddie raper. I hate you on such a deep and depraved level that fate will indeed cause us to cross paths, and when they do I am going to enjoy the destruction that I do to your face. Your new nickname will be ground zero.
Off subject, but I was just reading some articles on Schultz. After seeing what he went through in Edmonton, looking at all comments relating to him from Edmonton and Anaheim fans, and then seeing how Hall and Eberle really jumped to his defense, has me pulling for this guy more than most players.
He's been absolutely set up to fail and the fans are constant attacking him personally. To get booed in warm-ups? That would suck everything out of you. Here's hoping he can turn it around and shove it up all of those fans @$$es.

You mean like how Toronto turned on Kessel? We kinda figured this
The Rangers recent dominance over the Penguins continues tonight - rangerdanger94
This Pens team just might have figured it out. Most guys were blasting them after the Washington game, but I saw a lot of good in it. Hopefully it's a good game with a lot of goals for the Pens!

Kinda. Except the Schultz hate is just ridiculous. He's one of 6-7 players not playing to their potential. He's only 25. He's never been developed at this level. Some Toronto fans atleast admitted Kessels strengths. Most Oilers fans basically say Schultz is a POS. Not necessarily just here, but on all articles related to him.

If we were in the #2 Metro spot or at #3 with good separation, I don't think everyone would be as negative about dropping the Capitals game. Would love to have some physicality, but I think Rutherford has done a pretty damn good job of building around our speed identity. We can try to add some speedy grit this offseason but I'm glad we didn't sell the farm this trade deadline on guys like Ladd, Russle, Weise, etc.

He's basically reinforcing what people, such as myself, who watch every game know. They are playing really good hockey. There's been maybe 2, maybe 3 anomaly games since December. The Sammy's of the world dont want to believe it. They'd rather drown in their own negativity before believing something like this.
Thanks for the link! I view us as the favorites right now out of the East, and it's a perfect scenario considering there's no pressure or expectations from the folks that stare at the standings. I really like this team, more than any since we gave up two seconds for Crankshaft.
