The league has very much become more about the younger players, and as a Flames Fan I see players from my favorite team being more represented on this team. Don't get me wrong, I'm always Canada first, but I'm very much this team second.

Oiler fans pissed that Nugent-Hopkins wasn't one of the first 16 named? Personally I would have placed him ahead of both JT Miller and Sean Couturier.

I'm not saying he would be top 4, but I would have placed Dougie Hamilton ahead of Ryan Murray. Hamilton started rough this season, but just last 2 to 2.5 mouths have been leaps and bounds in improvement.

The remaining 3 defence I think comes down to Hamilton, Trouba, Gostisbehere, and Parayko. Do Oiler fans think that Nurse should be in the conversation?

Surprised that Nuge wasnt named to the team but that being said he could be added on later since its not the full roster that was announced....its a head scratcher that Miller was named ahead of him and no as an Oilers fan I dont think Nurse should be in the convo...nothing against him but at this point in his development he shouldnt be considered....the other names have had better seasons then he has had

I don't really care that Nuge was left off. He's injured. Can still be named later. I would put him on before Miller though as well. Nurse as of now should definitely not be on the team. Not a big fan of the format either, but it will be a very entertaining tournament to watch.

I find it crazy the Czech team snubbed Hudler...again...on their initial 16 man roster. He better make that team. Also surprised Gio wasn't part of the early Canada release. Though team NA is going to be the most exciting. Hopefully Bennett makes it even as an alternate.
