With Anisimov driving the net and taking the defenders with him to clear up the cross ice pass

Eddy showed this on the telecast and Pierre really jumped on how important AA's been and it these kind of things that don't get a stat line, but are really helping P & K

I've said it before here. He's gonna be in. Especially if he has 4 or 5 cups to his name.

I think after tonight he's also a lock for that Canadian WC roster...

I was NOT criticizing the Hawks...

... just pissed another shot found it's way past CC in garbage time.

I'd luv for CC to win the Vez...and watch the haters cry.

I know, its cool, just that one post in the middle of 20. Saw your next one a half page down or so very positive.

Talk about outhouse to the penthouse...

...Ducks find a way, yet again...3-2 SO win over Habs.

- ArlingtonRob

I know I should hate on the Ducks. And i will when they play anyone else. But, any team that beats those HaplessHabs is OK in my book....for ONE night....

I know stats usually win awards, so MVP will be Kane or Ovi... and i know Wins look great in the column for Goalie, so Holtby is the guy most analyst talk about right now....

But i have to say that Crow is playing All-World right now. every game he makes about 5-6 saves that are just brilliant and are saves that change the game. Even with all Kane's points, 50 has my vote for MVP of the Hawks right now.

Rough Night at the dot for the boys.

toews 10/19

Moose 4/7

Teets 5/14

Anis 4/15 (27%) 1/5 in the offensive zone.

- TheCore

On a related note, Danault was 7/9 at the dot vs. The big bad Ducks.

Enjoy the game!

I was in Grand Rapids for a Hogs/Griffins tilt last month. You guys have a nice building there.

Yeah, we had a team that had a lot of momentum out of the gate, but the Hogs have been kind of sputtering a bit over the last month. Additionally, it seems that the Griffins find a way to beat the Hogs on a regular basis.

- EKB13

It was an interesting game... Griffins came out hard & fast in the first period but couldn't get one past Leighton. Trailed most of the game 1-0 and finally tied it late in the 3rd period which woke the crowd up. The overtime winner the Griffins got was kind of a fluky goal from a bad angle that looked like it banked in off the back of Leighton. Fun game as usual. Glad you like the Van Andel Arena.. it's an awesome facility

And what a game from Rasmussen. VERY impressive tonight.
- SimpleJack

Ehroff fit in and looked amazing. I don't think it's going to be easy for Kruger to play himself back in. Moose is playing for his job and it shows.

There's a speed and Team Chemistry here I haven't seen for a long time. Intangibles that are hard to put a finger on.

So far so good on Ehrhoff, saw nothing egregious tonight, looks like he can generate some stuff offensively

1/3 of Scuderis total contract. Or 1/2 of what the Hawks were on the hook for.

I don't think Kruger has to play himself back in. His job is waiting for him when he returns. Rasmussen is certainly playing well, but Kruger is the Hawks #1 PK specialist. Rasmussen will either be playing wing, or be the 13th guy. It's a good problem to have when the playoffs roll around.

Ehrhoff looked very good. What I thought was most important to see was that he could get the puck out of the zone and transition it, and he did a great job of that even under heavy fore-checking at times. Him and Roszival are going to be so important.

Agreed. The only one who doesnt fit in right now is Mashinter. But with Hossa , Weise and Kruger all on the way this is a very deep team with some insurance incase of injuries .

To me the biggest thing is that this looks like a team that could win the cup now and that's without 3 players not to mention a first liner that would allow shaw to move to bottom six with Weiss and Kruger and all the sudden you could see this team dominating in the playoffs!

It's hard not to look back just a little and say what Hamhuis came here just imagine our team! Either way I think the Hawks win the chemistry has been almost immediate

Come on everybody, it was one game. Pretty teams win pretty and it sure was. Made it look easy. And they are even deeper for sure. But they are going to have games where an opposing coach will game plan for what the hawks like to do and force them to do something different. That's what I want to see before I go ape poop. Of course, I'm a patient guy. So if that didn't happen until next year that's ok by me.

You're right.

Nice game tonight. Sweet little play by Moose to steal that puck, thought TT looked good along with Fleischmann, 4th line even with Mashinter with some nice zone time and a few chances. KaneGB on fire again, AA doing his thing and Kane and Panarin are just filthy together.

And to think that two of the most important players on the team are still out. The 4 lines Q can roll once Hossa and Kruger come back are going to be insane.

My favorite play of the game. Wings score there and the game has a lot different feel.

As far back as the 2010 season I thought Seabrook would perhaps one day win a norris, or at the very least be a finalist. That would certainly go a long way towards getting in the hall.
On a related note, stanley cups are nice but they are not the sole reason for getting into the hall or at least they should not be. IMO you should be a dominate player for a good 5 year stretch in order to be considered. Seabrook has never been that. A great player for sure, invaluable to this team absolutely but hall worthy? Not so sure. # retired worthy? I think with another cup and if he retires as a hawk we can see #7 in the rafters one day. Chelios who???

Love Seabs but he's not HOF material. Hawks HOF guys right now are 19/2/88 and maaaaaaaaybe 81. HOF is the HOF, not retired numbers in the UC.

Totally, completely agree.

Rasmussen works hard (and was noticeable last night) but . . . he is at best an average skater and not great on draws. The Hawks don't want, in an ideal world or the playoffs, AA and Toews playing so much PK either.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him back here someday, maybe at "bridge" time ??
