Is there any goalie who doesn't use it these days?

Holtby seems to stand up more than most.

He's got a hella tough job, coming in once every 5-6 games and expected to be razor sharp.

Yeah, his misfortune to finally get the permanent call up in a year when Crow is playing lights out. Hopefully, he can shake it off tonight.

Sucks that Darling is having such a bad year. I dont know his numbers but every time he gets a start it seems he looks like poop. Horrible rebound given up and it was almost 2-0. Can't have some inept backup goalie ruining our flow and costing us points.

Last 7 games he's allowed: 1-1-4-2-0-2-1=11 in 333 minutes = 1.98 per 60 minutes. He relieved Crawford in 3 of those.

Save % of .933.

Well for whatever reason it seems like he's giving up a ton of soft goals. He looked better last year.

Weise can't fight for poop. Desi and shaw have 3 fights between them this year and aren't scaring anybody. Mash who hasn't been as willing as he should be when it comes to fighting throws his weight around and is decent defensively. He needs to poop or get off the pot and drop them though. Anyone watch the rivals thing after the game that was great showing the wars of the 80s and 90s. Grimson and Probert that's what hockey is about rivalries and hatred. Sadly the best rivalry of the last 5 years is the women's usa vs Canada teams. There is more intensity and physical play in those games then today's nhl.

In his first 9 games, he did give up 3 or more 5 times - but that was all before January.

Hawks will respond in this game and play much better in periods 2 and 3. If they can make sure not to fall behind by any more than 1 they should be okay.

Nice zone entry on the rush too. StanBo is the man. Erhoff looks like a keeper

Not smart by Panarin, but that was a softie allowed by Darling.

Lots of sloppy play by everyone though, the team overall sucked in that 1st period. Only down 1 though. I think the Hawks play much better from here on out. Just Darling can you PLEASE not mess this one up.
