Agreed......... the LOVE for Mashinter is really confusing to everybody. It's not like he's an active enforcer. Panik's game is far superior and belongs in tonight's lineup.
There has to be some underlying reason why he continues to suit up. - Hawkytalk
I wish Q would share the reason with us. I get why you want him in the lineup vs a team with big boys, but he never seems to negate any of the hits coming our way. In 2 periods so far he has 9 shifts and no hits. Anisimov has 3 hits, Ladd has 3 and seven other players not named Mashinter have 1 hit each. |

Gotta hand it to Boston, they've played this game extremely well, you can tell they were all geared up to face the Hawks and are playing probably one of their better games of the year(I've watched them probably 5-6 other times and they've been predominantly bad).
They've played the Hawks even, and its a shame the score doesn't say the same.
This game, so far, comes down to goaltending more so than anything else. Sucks that Darling gave up those first 2 is all i can say. Maybe time left for a late comeback, we'll see. |

Their entire team looked very good tonight. Rask was outstanding. Bergeron and Marchand continue to play very well. |

Chasing two goals, 1:30 left, waste 20 seconds just passing back-and-forth in the Bruins zone... |

mirror image of last night...and so it goes...
3-18-1 when trailing after 2...
i don't think they have come back in any game to win when trailing by 2 at any time.
they are a front running team |

Looking forward to Detroit on Sunday hopefully Hossa is back. I liked Weise's game tonight won some board battles and was aggressive on the forecheck. |

Darling with the dusty night. That shows you how much Crawf keeps us in those games slow out of the gate.
If Scott doesn't play like ass through two were looking alright, especially considering how bad the first was.
Continue to like Erhoff. Weise basically unnoticeable. Good game from the Meat Man.
Teets still looks better. Ladd looks good.

Yeah, and the countless other times we've seen these guys battle back when the going gets tough.
The Hawks aren't "front runners", just like they weren't a "bubble team". Its insulting(to them) to call them either of those things.
This is a great team that is leading so often, it seems as if they rarely comeback. That's the issue. |

I thought Weise looked pretty noticeable. I liked him with TT and Flash.
Boston played great and matched us chance for chance, and like you said Darling is the reason we were in a hole because the gameplay indicated a score that should have looked more like 2-2/3-3. What can ya do. Go back to CC next game and forget about it, hopefully Darling bounces back whenever we see him again. |

Well poop. we have some figuring out to do at the dot.
15 was 1/6
19 was 17/27
Can't have Toews taking all the draws come playoff time. Your second line center should be taking the second most draws. (maybe Kruger) Anisimov has to figure out his faceoff game here real quick if we're gonna take this thing.
70 was 6/9
86 was 8/16 |

And how the hell did 15 miss the net on that one chance in alone with Rask? I swear the scoring chances we missed tonight.... It was unreal at times. I wish it was as easy for us as it was for the Bruins. |

Missed the net more tonight then I can remember all season. Oh well, chalk that one up to tired from getting in at 3am.
Either way I'm with you, we basically spoon fed them two or three goals. maybe 4 |

Well their 3rd goal was a nice screen, nice PP set up(again our PK isn't quite right without Kruger or Hossa in the lineup).
4th goal was a very nice transition counterattack as our PP ended, finished and set up very nicely, though all started because of sloppy play at the point by Keith.
I wont put either of those on Darling, those are well earned goals by Boston who played well.
But for him to leave upstairs wide open like that and give up one in the opening minutes, and then another softy in the final minute of the 1st was VERY detrimental to our chances at winning the game.
Again, i can't WAIT to see our lineup with Hossa playing along side Ladd-Toews, and that WTF 3rd line getting more time together. Also a possible Desi-Shaw combo with Moose as a 4th line.
(frank) the Bruins

Yep, everyone was missing the net! Panarin and Kane, Seabs and Keith, they were all over the place but the net |
