Yeah, I can't pretend to know definitively one way or the other but based on his history of perpetual negativity concerning the organization, prior instances of fabricating stories and the fact that Franson came into the fold under the Burke/Nonis regime which has been almost fully purged by Shannahunterloucockas I'm going to lean toward trolling as my answer to Tony's original question.

Everyone picks the leafs to be one of the worst teams and then when they actually are everyone is up in arms saying they're doing it on purpose.

the Leafs are cheating.. .they are cheaters... constantly breaking all the rules, you know putting injured players on the LITR.

the Leafs are clearly to blame for the Mike Richards contract "termination", also for Chris Pronger still affecting someone's CAP even those he's obviously retired, clearly the Leafs were to blame when Kovalchuk left to go to the KHL, the Leafs should be blamed for Pittsburgh being gifted Sidney Crosby... and McJesus being gifted to the Oilers.

The Leafs are also obviously to blame for the Coyotes changing hands 18 times in five years, and on how they have re-neg'd on the their lease deal... clearly all caused by the Leafs.

And worst of all the "Leafs stole Corrado" from Vancouver by claiming him off the waiver wire...

damn cheaters.

PS - Always remember - all Leaf draft picks are busts by the time the next draft pick is announced or by the time some starts playing the parade - which ever comes first.

Just watching the Highlights (or Lowlights) from the game last night... Bernier is complete crap. His lateral movement is terrible. One cross crease/ice pass and he is done. Also, his positioning is awful. The one goal (which was a screen) he might as well have gotten out of the net because his positioning was so bad... I thought NHL goalies were supposed to have solved basic positioning issues by this point?

This team desperately needs a goalie for the future... It doesn't matter how many young guns we have. The #1 issue in my mind since Eddy (2004?) has been goal tending. Toskala, Raycroft, Aubin, Pogge, Tellqvist, Clemmensen, Cujo (2nd time), Scrivens, Gustavsson, MacDonald, Reimer, Giguere, MacIntyre, Bernier= failure

Find a friggin goalie.
