They are? I have my doubts whether it’ll migrate north. The market for smaller trucks isn’t particularly big in Canada. We tend to like our pickups like we like our women, large and fuel efficient. - Wildschwein

I had a moose get into a dominance display with my pickup once. I reversed slowly until the bull decided he’d chastised me enough and went on his way. Cocky wiener. - Wildschwein
I take it that it wasn't hunting season. I'm telling you I don't want to be anywhere near one of those things. They could crush you in to 2 seconds. |

Actually it was. Moose licenses are awarded via a lottery system in my area, and unfortunately I was a non winner that year. |

The moose must have sensed that. He was taunting you. |

I suppose this would be a bad time to mention that I just picked up a new Tacoma last Thursday. |

One might reasonably infer.
In truth I’ve never owned a Tacoma so I have no opinion on anything other than its appearance, which just doesn’t thrill me. |

The truck in question was a Ford Ranger. I doubt I could have mounted my missus with it, let alone an aggravated moose. - Wildschwein
Rangers will mount anything......and then brag about it. Consider Sean Avery... |

That's OK, you can hate my truck.
Truthfully, I had every intention of getting a full-size pickup, but my commute to work is about an hourish (with normal morning/evening rush hour traffic) and around 30mi each way and I just couldn't justify getting a Tundra/F150/Ram/Silverado that averages 17mpg (or whatever that translates to in your much-more-logical system of weights and measurements ) with a commute like that.
Anyway, 8 days in I love the truck and haven't really found any limitations that wouldn't be present with a larger pickup. |

Yeah, thats a nice truck. - mdw7413
One thing I didn't know it had is a wireless charging "pad" built right into the console (think: under the radio/climate controls). Just toss your phone on it and, assuming you don't have an ancient phone, it charges relatively well. I think a wired car charger would still be better, but it's a pretty awesome goofy feature. |

Did not know that. The way I drive unless it was magnetized I don't think it would stay put. |

That equals 17 litres per 100km. My 1500 averages about 25 mpg (if I mathed correctly) but I broke it in gently. |

It's a rubber base so it grips pretty well.
Only thing I wasn't thrilled with was that I was only able to get exactly what I wanted with a 5ft bed instead of their longer 6ft one. That picture I posted was from the night they sent me home with the truck (smart (frank)ers, they knew I'd fall in love with it) and that exact one was the one I ended up getting, it came with a really nice folding tonneau cover so that made up for the just-over-1ft difference in bed length. |
