This team struggles when the opposition clogs up the neutral zone and forces the leafs to the perimeter in the attacking zone. This happened last year too. Babs seems to have little in the way of mid game adjustments, going back to last year. Leafs got few pucks through to the net last night, and there was not much net drive. They had like 7 shots after 30 minutes. The blueprint for success against the Leafs is there. - fifty__missions
Clogging up the neutral zone isn't a big issue imo - just skate hard and make the opposition take penalties. Playing in a spineless manner "fraidy-cat" to shoot the puck at a junior B caliber goalie is an issue. As is looking at the scoreboard when a 7th round 4th line knuckle dragger on St. Louis body slams one of your star players to the ice. A better response would have required a dentist.

Coins "face value" is $25. - 6 X $25 = $150
Coins "melt value" is 6 x $19.20 x 1.5 = $172.80
Asking price is a pure rip off. Not likely that these coins will be worth the $839.70 asking price in the next 100 years - winsix
Right? Crazy. Maybe if they only made 500 - if that. |

Guess which Leafs forward had best controlled defensive zone exits last year? Yep, guy with the sexy hair. |

Lower mintage would help, but coin uniqueness is more important. Sadly, the RCM is taking advantage of the fact that hockey is popular and lots of hockey fans that know little about coins or numistatic values will buy.

Meh, the guy should sign a bridge. His #'s are good with Matthews....without they get a little scary.
Hopefully they dont make him play on the 3rd line, he'll be disappointed he didnt sign long term IMO |

The situation is (frank)ed regardless of how you slice it. Nylander has hurt his value to other teams by being a problem child. He will get a bridge deal and is eligible for arbitration next time around. Rule needs to change, I'm sure the Leafs would have happily dealt with arbitration this year. He's worth less in a trade imo now than before this sh!tstorm started.

At some point, they might not have a choice. He is controllable to age 27, but is also arbitration eligible after the next contract. If he signs onlly a one year bridge, next year he will be able to put the squeeze on the Leafs.

My guess: Nylander signs a 3 yr/ $15M bridge deal. |

He wants to sign long term here, why would he sign for one year, then get a one year arbitration? That seems counter intuitive to what he seems to want. |
