I f'n love that guy. Proper warrior
but probably one of the slowest players in the league last 5 years... - 21peter
I've come to appreciate parts of his game. He definitely has guts and heart. The guy will block slapshots with his face. He can still throw a heavy hit. He is capable of making good passes (but rarely does for some maddening reason).
But, he's sooooooo slow. It's painful to watch Hedman drag him around like a ball and chain. I don't know why Cooper insists on giving him top-4 minutes. It boggles my mind. Please, please take him for free.

What would qualify as an improper warrior? Dan Girardi, but with Tourrettes? - lumlums
tbh; pretty much everyone without Viking genes... |

The best quote I ever heard about Ristolainen that applies to Girardi and many others in this respect:
"That guy has the balls to block the shots that other defencemen wouldn't dare to allow..."

that hurts - 21peter
I just find it amazing that people in the US scream socialism while pointing at Venuzuela (which has been pretty much a dictatorship for many years), and not at like, pretty much of Europe (with respect to healthcare, education etc etc)...
Anyhoo, that's a different discussion for a different forum... |

It's simple:
Country > Citizens > Corporations
Vs
Country = Corporations >>>> Citizens |

It's because most people really don't know what socialism is. If a government looking after the wellbeing of its citizens instead of working to ensure the profits of its corporations is wrong, then I don't want to be right. |

Exactly.
Most developed European countries give everybody a chance to start on equal footing - education is free or affordable, healthcare is covered through reasonable taxation (and still costs less per capita than what the US pays), and people understand that they're paying it forward for the next generation, just as the preceding one did for them.
I swear, show up in Europe and proclaim to be a Libertarian and you're gonna go from zero to groin stomped in about 2.4 seconds |

We all know socialism works well with the confines of a structured neo-capitalist regime, but, the real question is : does socialism score goals, and does it deliver in the clutch?
