Re: Don Cherry’s comments and the Hurricanes game winning celebrations
I haven’t seen anything disrespectful about any of their celebrations. The Hurricanes needed to find a way to bring back the fun and they did. Just because it’s not something every team does, that doesn’t make it disrespectful.
Personally, I’ve heard more disrespect in various Don Cherry comments than I see in fun game winning celebrations. Good for the Canes to shake that off. Those lovely jerks!

Their celebrations are gay and if that’s what’s needed to attract new fans to the sport of hockey then we’re all in trouble

It’s harmless but for some reason I don’t like them more because of it. 😂 |

The NHL should ban Pierre McQuire from ever doing a Pens game. Just feels dirty. Like his pants are around is ankles behind those boards. Sullivan is greatest coach ever, Letang is Bobby Orr. Doumilin is his newest pet. He's almost like a hometown announcer.

Just so I've got this correct, Fletcher came out and said the Hart/Talbot relationship had no bearing on the trade...??? Are you kidding me? Our new, highly regarded, GM traded for Cam Talbot based on performance? Talbot was all we could get for Stolie?
I liked the move better because of the relationship. Saying it had nothing to do with it is either blantant bs or just plain stupid... |

I like Stolarz and thought he could be a NHL backup but in reality what was he in terms of value. He's played little at the NHL level and has major injuries.

Who cares what the GM says. It’s obvious the reason we got Talbot was for Hart. He just can’t let it seem like Hart is making “decisions” for the team at 20. Decisions that sent another young goalie out of town.
It was a good trade. Plain and simple. |

Agreed. At best Stolie was worth a 3rd. We traded youth for experience. And when we're relying on a 20 yr old, experience is a nice thing to have. I have little issue with the deal. You can argue that maybe they should've gotten a late pick back in the deal but I'm not losing sleep over it. |

At last years draft the Flyers were linked to Oreilly and I hoped Hextall would offer a package with the 19th overall pick. Still hoping Jay O'brien makes me look foolish but ROR wouldve been a tremendous addition.
Would love to know what Buffalo was asking or Hexy was offering. |

Hockey is fun and hockey is for everyone. Doing something different will always be frowned upon by people afraid of change or those to narrow-minded to see things from a perspective other than their own. You can dislike them personally but still appreciate that others do. All this arbitrary negativity will only make them stay so keep bringing it on.

Homer said the Chief had a great hockey mind. It might also be a fear factor. |

If you don't like the celebrations, don't watch the game. No one will miss you. The athletes are the ones who train their whole lives to get to this point. If they wanna celebrate who are a bunch of couch warriors to say they shouldn't. Don't like. Don't watch. |
