The Pens already have enough players with injury problems on the roster, pass on Haula. - 5on1Powerplay
He is definitely a risk, but the perfect 3C if he can keep it together. Id prefer a one year deal of course but wouldn't balk at a few years even though the Bjugstad parallels are very difficult to ignore. |

Anybody know how reliably watch pens games without cable? I’d just pay for center ice or whatever it’s called now, but Im in Pittsburgh, and don’t really understand the vpn thing. I’d also prefer to watch on a tv, not a computer, if that’s possible. I’ve seen mention of “sportsurge”, but haven’t tried it, or know if it’s even legit. Suppose I got 2 months to figure it out, if there even is a season. |

The only reliable way I know is doing the center ice thing online with a vpn. There are some streaming sites you can use, but you're not guaranteed to get a good stream.

Tanner got banned for writing a blog about politics where he called some black conservatives “Uncle Toms” and then acted like he had no idea what it meant.
Tanner's ban was a glorious day for this site - probably the best in its history. He didn't know much about hockey and instead was not only always spouting off his political views but insulting those with differing views. Of course, he always had to remind everyone how smart he is.
I will miss Feds, though.
Also I am glad to see that Garth is back, "rebranded". Every deck of cards needs a joker .
As for Daley, I always liked him and the role he had for the Pens during their 2016 Cup run. His new position with the Pens' front office is a new phase in his career and while he may not have any experience at that many people can learn on the job. I hope he does well. I guess we will see how he does in the upcoming years.
As for Tallon, no thanks. They should be looking for someone younger and who doesn't have such a long history of making questionable moves with a disregard for the Cap. |

Get a chrome cast for like $40 and then use bilasport.net or sportsurge.net to find a stream and the cast it to the chrome cast connected to your tv

Tanner was an artist when it came to trolling. His blogs / comment sections were truly popcorn popping material. While his termination made this site “classier” (snicker) it made it less entertaining.

I disagree... I think he, in his mind, was not a troll whatsoever. I truly believe he was a believer in his own BS and crap. A sad sad being... |

I read his blogs daily. They were formulaic in their trolliness. Then the comments he would inject in the comments section to keep the suckers clicking... It was masterful. Not only did he keep the feeders coming back he kept those like me who enjoyed rubbernecking the whole thing coming back. |

I wonder how these writers get paid. Like if the comments sections are lit do they get more dough? |

Hockeybuzz without an add block is so add riddled to the point of unsuitability that I wouldn't be shocked if Ek's pay out structure was based on some kind of commission based on ad revenue your page is generating. It explains why Tanner became so obsessed with fanning the flames of toxic arguments a few years ago and why Garth tries to come up with the most clickbaity poop ever. It would also explain why RW phoned it in given that the Pens board is one of the most active on this site. Gonna get the clicks anyways, so why bother with anything. |

Also explains why Sheng Peng only lasted a year writing for Vegas. He had decent, unbiased analysis. |

I believe RW posted a political blog a while ago. I understand the political climate needs attention but to post on a low-budget, low-profile hockey blog... maybe it's not the right place? I'd rather hear about GMJR and JMFJ.
Also, Ads are atrocious on this site. There are so much flashing I'm surprised I don't risk having a seizure.
As for Haula, I am totally down. |

Haula is just another McCann. Thats not a bad thing but its just more of the same. The Pens have been 1 player away from a true run in the playoffs for 3 years and everyone knows it, yet no one corrects it. 3rd line Centre. Untill they correct it, they can't win a cup. Rutherford is making all these moves but not fixing their most glaring need. They have 3 years left in the Crosby window. They have 3 solid prospect in the farm. Do what you have to do and fix the Bonino problem. |

The drop-off after McCann is steep, so I'll take more of the same if it's players like McCann. My only concern with Haula on a long-term deal is the injury issues. If Poulin proves ready then a McCann-Haula-Poulin line could be quite effective. |

Yeah, I don't get people complaining about ads in 2020 (or even in 2010). It also protects your computer (or phone), so it's more than just eliminating an annoyance. |

It depends on your definition of "legit." Sportsurge reliably provides free streams of sporting events, so in that sense they are legit. However, what they do is likely illegal (not that users are held liable just for watching) and be sure to have a good ad-blocker installed with any internet streaming site.
As for watching on your TV instead of a computer, if you have a laptop and a HDMI cable, you are good to go.
I haven't had cable or (any pay service) since my then-girlfriend surprised me with cable back in '94 to watch the World Cup and I watch pretty much every Pens game or any other sporting event for free. The only time I have had trouble finding a free stream throughout the years is for women's soccer last year. |
