If Tage isn’t going to be that guy, his value will never be higher. Offense is a top 10 center in the league, rest of his game and attitude (if the above is true) has him a lot lower.
Interesting to hear Tuch, Dahlin, and Cozens didn’t want to step up. Guess the fans wanting an actual winning team is asking too much - SDSabre

Right, and when top line guys are injured and can’t score they need to impact the game in a different way. At this point, if what you said is true, there was an 18 year old and a 22 year old that played what 15 games that was trying to drag the team into the fight nightly. Should be the guy who had 85 goals the 2 seasons prior doing this, instead of the implied not giving a (frank). |

I think the Sabres lack of snarl in the top 6 is their biggest issue. I don't think you can bring in one guy to the bottom 6 and rely on him to handle all of the dirty work. There needs to be at least 2 guys to change the attitude of the entire team. The way I see it they have to trade one of Tage, Quinn, Peterka, Tuch, Cozens or Benson for a guy that might not be as offensively gifted, but plays with a more of a mean streak. Plus one or two difficult to play against guys in the bottom 6. If the top 6 remains the same, i don't think much will change next year. I guess Cozens is the one I would least want to see go because I think he is the toughest of them all, but man he had a poopty season this year and it looked like it was poopty because of his lack of effort and hustle, which two seasons ago I would never think that would be questioned. |

He was also pretty vocal about this and really ramped it up at the end here. He said he was determined to be better from the start. Accountability is a big part of leadership IMO and given the drop off from Skinner/Tage, a lesser point total should be expected. |

I didn't see your posts before posting my essay of a take, but looks like we're on the same page. Quinn and Benson aren't totally off the hook just because they are young. They make some dumbass decisions. Benson has to cool it with the dumb bratty penalties any time he gets stripped of the puck. |

Many players on this roster fall into this category. It was a problem last season too but they scored alot and were fun to watch which covered that up
It is insane they didn't fire granato in November. We are probably discussing playoffs. Bringing 3 goalies back and not firing him cost us a playoff spot IMO. Of course no one could have predicted UPLs emergence

Rasmus Dahlin to me last night, “Everyone needs to have the best summer of their career. We’ve got to make sure we work our asses off during the summer. … We can’t be in this situation again.”

So your saying the Core Adams brought in to Lead wasn't good enough. Hell could have told you that in July. |

Unfortunately Pegula's track record on hiring coaches isn't very good. Kevyn Adams isn't much better. Yet another reason to have a President of Hockey Operations. |

I agree, although there were plenty of times where he would get a penalty that a vet wouldn’t, and that happens frequently in the NHL. Buddy buddy with the refs will grow. I want him to keep the feisty attitude, that can’t leave. |
