Lordy lordy, Red Lobster may seek Chapter 11! If they don't succeed they could cease to be a going concern! They lost 11 million on Endless Shrimp!
I've dreamed of this day. If I witness the Leafs win the Cup and the demise of Red Lobster in the same year, I'll know I didn't suck satan's Richard for nothing. - Zezel
Last time I went to red lobster for endless shrimp I ate north of 60 shrimp. The next best thing to having a party sized shrimp ring for yourself. |

Who is the they?
I mean you used the last 10 games. In 10 game segments - which are fairly qualifiable (because Mitch has missed 13 games (and the Leafs are 8-4-1 in those games)), Nylander has been the points leader head-to-head 28 times, Mitch has been the points leader head-to-head 12 times, and the two of them have been tied 5 times.
So for instance in games 1-10 Nylander had 14 points and Marner had 9. In games 3-12 Marner had 14 points and Nylander had 11. You keep going down that list comparing head-to-head and you get the above results.
Nylander has had a productive year. He has 40 goals and 97 points. You could celebrate that instead of hating the guy.
Now I know you want to crow that he's only +3 and Marner is +22 (or +2 / +21 at 5v5).
Curiously when paired with Bertuzzi-Tavares, Marner is even and Nylander is +4. When paired with Knies-Matthews, Marner is +11 and Nylander is +1. Bear in mind that Nylander has been bounced all over the lineup this year:
Domi-Tavares-Nylander: -5
Knies-Tavares-Nylander: -3
And I think you might want to note that this year, more than any in the past few years, being paired with Tavares was more of a chore for his wingers. We see games where he's working, but I don't think he's accomplishing. Somehow Nylander was managing to pull of positive numbers with him, but Mitch hasn't found that chemistry with JT this year (even Mitch, JT and Willy are even together at 5v5).
This is not an in-defense of Willy or in-opposition to Mitch post. Both bring good things and bad things to the table. Be cognizant of the bad things and celebrate the good things, and you might find you're more objective. |

Before you start whining..
Willy last 10 games: 0G 4A
Mitch last 10 games: 4G 8A
I know you guys are dumb and will try to argue this, tho. - Arctic_AARDVARK
People would have a conversation with except you're a terribly obnoxious douchecanoe about it. So people rather just ignore you than to bang their head against the brick wall that you call a "conversation". |

Jack Edwards, the voice of the Boston Bruins, has announced his retirement following the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
It is fate.
His last call will be the Leafs eliminating the Bruins on OT. - Santo_44

Yes, the formula is simple, but the execution is not. - The Law
I would like to see them staple someone to him, old school. Simple objective: that's your man. And I would I engage him physically at every opportunity. It's too easy for him against the Leafs. They've got to make him hate hockey. |

Insult the Bruins all you want, but desecrate clam chowder and it's fisticuffs. - RickJames77
Thanks for the invitation, be happy to oblige on both parts.
I'll begin by quoting Jon Stewart, who described Brad Marchand as follows:
"You are, if I may...if a piece of s h i t TOOK a s h i t, and then that piece of s h i t threw up...and then that puke took a s h i t....thhhhat's you."
And I'll add, "If you then ATE all that puke and s h i t...thhhat's New England Clam Chowder"

Wow, 50 is not (frank)ing around.
I've seen that bit, but how did Stewart even end up talking about Marchand? |

I think we’ll see the Matthews line run out against Pasta with something like Jarnkrok, JT and Marner against Marchand and Cole. McMann or Knies could replace Jarnkrok. That leaves Willie, Holmberg and another good winger against their 3rd line and maybe 3rd D pair. |

away games, the Matthews will have Coyle line draped all over him. |
