I think most players are generally pretty happy unless there is family stuff with borders. I mean there’s players happy in Columbus and Arizona. So a winning franchise like Pittsburgh can’t be that bad. There will always be the odd person in sure for various reasons. Flower wouldn’t go to Washington as an example. I thought with smith though I read somewhere was more he didn’t want to leave Vegas than he hates Pittsburgh.

My recollection is he didn't like playing on Malkin's wing. Not sure if I heard here, another site or a bar in Wampum.

From what I've heard/read is he was blindsided by the trade and wasn't happy (not hard to believe). Apparently he didn't do a good job at hiding his feelings and the players felt he let that seep into his effort/play. I don't remember hearing anything about not liking playing with Geno.

The beat guys said he hardly talked after games and came across as pretty dour...fwiw.

Imagine that. Hard to believe looking at the two different roles they played.

Arguing about Harkins vs DOC ... it's going to be a long offseason.

Check the AHL numbers bud. Since that’s your thing and all.
- Grinder47

I've seen them. But I know take a player putting up a breakout year in the AHL at 25 with a grain of salt. AHL all-star games are full of guys who weren't good enough for the NHL.

Someone has to replace Carter. Though Harkins could be gone in a couple months to.

After Toronto's loss, I've already seen some Toronto fans wondering what Dubas would give up for Marner

I really don’t think they will offer him a contract. Though I think he could do just as good as DOC if not better playing with good players at league minimum. They may offer him a 2 way deal.

Nah. DOC was a point per game player as soon as he played in WBS. His age 25 was this year.

Somerset tosses some bread in the water [Harkins better than DOC] and some here chomp on it faster than carp in Pymatuning! Too funny.

Oof. WBS Pens lost last night. They were up 3-1 and Leheigh came back to win in OT.

Penguins will not renew the contracts of their AHL staff including the head coach.

One reason I dont want sullivan fired is because Sheldon Keefe is going to be looking for a job soon and we sure as hell dont want him.

That's a little surprising. They had a pretty good year without a lot of talent. Maybe they feel players aren't developing enough? But they're not giving them much to work with.

Right. Wrong staff lol.

How 'bout those rumors of Sully and NJ? Probably shouldn't get my hopes up.

Yeah... They were talking on the radio like it was a real possibility.

I'm not sure I want Sully in our division. He'd be perfect for NJ.

Not really surprising. Whenever a new GM comes on they tend to bring in their guys for all the coaching spots. It's more surprising they haven't made changes on the big squad.

I think they’re looking for their next coach of the future. Someone who can develop the guys in WBS and come up to take Sullivan’s job in 2-3 years

Yeah I figured it was the same. I heard it on the Fan, but I did catch it was from a Kypreos article so then I dismissed it.

Nash doing their best Pens imitation. Choking up two late goals and losing in OT. Has a very familiar ring to it.

That was bonkers!
Credit to Van for not giving up. Shameful collapse for Nsh.
