I hear you but I’ve liked robertsons play in the playoffs.
I’ve liked Dewar too.
For me Idc, they both are the same in terms of value helping the leafs win. - Santo_44
No.
With Willie back in the lineup, Nick's mediocre contributions to "depth scoring" are effectively redundant while Dewar's skillset/value is not diminished in the least. |

Yes outside of 1 game. 1 game..where he got all his points
Our 13.5 million dollar player to needs to find a way to succeed on a consistent basis.
Boston isnt as talented as prior years, our top center is going to face their top d.
Thats what happens. - Fakepartofme
Yeah but Marner sucks ass in the post season without Matthews (or JT when he could still play top end hockey), and no Nylander so all Boston has had to do is focus on Matthews. If the others don’t step up and all Boston needs to do is focus their primary defensive guys on one player he’s going to be easily held back. It’s a team game and unless the rest of the “studs” are a threat, the leafs are easy to beat.
If Nylander and Marner aren’t threats this series is done. |

But Marner IS playing with Matthews on the PP, yet it STILL sucks ass. The 5v5, the physicality are all fine for the Leafs. We are losing this series for one reason - special teams. It happens EVERY year. |

Sorry, you just triggered the bullpoop meter here. Bruins were very fortunate to win game 3 by a slim margin. Very close series, game three could have gone either way. Leafs need to up their offense, especially on the PP. Need to shoot more, instead of trying for the highlight reel pass it into the net goal. Inflict pain and suffering on the Bruins D and goalie.

It's ALL about the special teams battle - we're getting killed.

I seem to have more of an affinity for Robertson than many. I think if he gets the right opportunity, he'd score a lot more. Jarnkrok is a Swiss army knife, but doesn't score enough especially considering how much time he's given right off a lengthy injury.
This is my preference. Not like I'll see it though. You could flip Jarnkrok and Knies. But I did like Knies on the 4th line the last bit.
Bert, AM, Domi
Robertson, JT, Marner
Jarnkrok, Holmberg, Nylander
Knies, Kampf, Reaves - Leaffrog
Ya, I like that too.
I just didn't want to lose Dewar from the PK. Since Robby's not connecting, thought he should be the odd man out.
Knies was a beast on the 4th line but doesn't PK. |

it would be really beneficial if the Leafs could get out to an early lead tonight and not have to chase the game so much… |

Matthews has been very good 5v5. This series is all about special teams. It's the big $ guys who need to step up on the PP.
Dozzer, as for Marner, stop waiting for him to play a more physical game. It's simply not going happen. Leafs have significant decisions to make going forward. - fifty__missions
Hes has been good, but not dominant.
Our special teams continue to be garbage.
Need to improve |

When this season is over, it's abundantly clear that the right side of the defense needs a total makeover. The only players on the defense coming back are Rielly, McCabe and Benoit. You might even make a case to move on from Benoit, and keeping Edmunston. I know he has a new 3 year deal, but you could get interest for him in a trade. Liljegren, Boosh, Timmins are all expendable. They aren't playoff types of defensemen. Either size or being one dimensional is their issue and addressing this problem is a must.

guy must've hated the Leafs more than the average Isles fan - 21peter Dubas was the issue there. He was too in love with the core 4 and didn't see what was best for the rest of them. Dubas really screwed over this team with his flawed vision of how to win.

5 on 5 is decent but not great.. Boston just checks the puck handler immediately and it lowers the leafs’ amount of shots notably.
Ffs I wish Keefe would just tell every last one of them to play grittier or get benched no matter who they are |

What a click bait headline that is.
Let’s not pretend LA and Boston are anything close to the same teams or have anywhere near the same level of goaltending.
Cam Talbot is no Swayman or Ulmark he’s nowhere close to them.
Must be nice to draw a team to beat the snot out of in the first round pretty routinely - although the Leafs haven’t failed well when they had a similar opportunity so there is that.
