I always think back to the Recchi trade bringing in LeClair and Desjardins. Sometimes you have to give up good players to improve your team. I like TK and Laughton but moving them is likely the best long term move for the Flyers

I’m also not convinced they’ve ever actually been offered a 1st for Laughton. Parsing through the reports of that larger deal with STL that fell through I think a 1st was coming back from STL but that may have had more to do with Sanheim going and Flyers taking back Krug’s contract. So the total package going to STL which may have included Laughton would have brought back a 1st and somehow that got translated to Laughton is worth a 1st.

Identify your core young players. Be realistic about what you can or cannot move. Even with the season Sanheim just had, I’m not convinced he could be moved without retaining salary that just kicked in. Couturier looks like poop. Everything else, sell to the highest bidder. Morgan Frost isn’t getting playing fair playing time, see what other teams think of him.

Marner is a UFA next summer, curious if they finally break that team up. The most obvious move was to move on from Tavares who is also a UFA next summer. Maybe more moves now that Dubas is in Pittsburgh.

It was. He did a great job and Jody Shelly was excellent as a #2. JJ did slip once when the Bruins were coming out of their end and said the Flyers then corrected himself. Lol

I was surprised at how good Shelley was. I actually thought it was Boooooosh. Perhaps the Flyers can bring him in to replace Hartnell, so we don't have to listen to him when Boooosh is working for TNT. I think Shelley works for Columbus though.

Would rather used TK and one of our 1st to move into top 10 in draft. Ott & Utah could be good trade partners. Both need to make a splash and we can hold salary to make the deal even better.
