The players that I can see realistically that could drop that if they landed in the Flyers spot then you take them and don't look back:

The real question is why does the "Russian factor" ever get mentioned then or why do teams pass on Russian players? Didn't stop Washington and Pittsburgh to pass on AO or Malkin.

Is it an excuse to pass on players or is it based on the team drafting them?

Also everything could be fine and dandy, but a lot of behind the scenes stuff can happen in a 2-3 year span.

I mean, it’s not nothing but it is most of the time an imaginary boogeyman. The lack of transfer agreement is a legitimate issue and is why some Russians have dropped (Kucherov) in the past when there has been issues around a transfer agreement. Alexander Radulov is really the only Russian player that there’s ever been an issue.

Just because a player eventually came over to NA doesn't mean there wasn't an issue though, just means it was worked out.

I don't think any of them will be anyway. Personally I see them all getting snatched up in the top 7-8.

If there was a year the Flyers didn't win those 2 games at the end of the year, this would of been one of them. Top 10 would be more comfortable than 12, but the Flyers always seem to be on the very outside except for last year when they got lucky.

I agree with BPA and want a defenseman. I think someone will think Parekh could be the next Makar, at the very least a Quinn Hughes. I don’t think Eiserman gets past NJ or Buffalo. If somehow one of the top 5 D fall to 10 then somebody will trade up. But I’m bullish on the Flyers needing to trade up to get one of the top D and using TK to do it.

Because his bust potential is real. He shoots and he scores. The rest of his game is underwhelming. If he scores 35-40 goals a year then he’s a great pick. If he develops the rest of his game he could be a Caulfield type. If he doesn’t, he’s Kieffer Bellows.

I’m sure they’d love to have him back. There’s a reason they traded him I think. Injury prone.

Agreed. I also heard their #1 priority is a RHD, for 2nd pairing. Either they gave up something for somethng,or they thought they could do better than Drysdale on their second pairing and moved him for an elite prospect.
