Just when you think they have a chance, they tease you and then pull the rug out right from under your feet. This will also happen here Do not get your hopes up
these last two games were not the team that we have been watching all year They will go right back to that team in the next two weeks |

I’m going to root for the Penguins to win hockey games like I’ve been doing since I was six or so. Thanks. |

Of the teams fighting for the last 2 playoff spots the Pens are by far the most talented. As a Rangers fan it's the 1 team I dont want to see in round 1. |

Fvcking right, man.
What happened already this season is done. There was a stretch of almost two months they looked like one of the best teams in the league. Handful of games looking like basement dwellers. A lot of nights losing in final minutes. A lot of other nights rallying to force OT. None of that means jack sh!t now. The fact is, this old bunch of bandits are in the mix and looking to steal that final spot. Every game is really important and as fans that should be a good thing.
I think they come up short but that Caps game tomorrow night is basically a playoff game and this guy thinks that's fvcking awesome haha

If we win tomorrow I think we’re making it. Sid is pissed off and the second line seems to have finally found something. If Letang and Karlson can calm it down back there this is the most coherent version of the Penguins we’ve seen all year. |

At this point, no matter what happens in the next game, I'm not going to try and predict how this plays out. I am going to as always root for them to beat the Caps, root for the Flyers to lose all their games, and just hopefully get to see some entertaining hockey. |

It would be pretty incredible if they made it in. If the Pens make the playoffs, Crosby HAS to win the MVP. Carried the team all year, they trade their second best player and Crosby still goes on a killing streak to get them in...
All due respect to the McDavid & Kucherov's who regularly put up 4 points in blowout games against bottom feeders... |

You need a new hobby.
If you can't enjoy your favourite sports team that win or lose has no bearing on your actual life, there's something wrong.

Pens somehow sliding ass backwards into the playoffs would be hilarious... and I am all for it mostly to resell my tickets XD |

I won't get my hopes yup because of how this season is gone and my gut tells me that they won't pull it off but it would be something if they did sneak in. And then you never know. Look what Florida did last year. A first round victory over the Rangers would be enough for me. |

Really if we get to see playoff hockey we’re fortunate and there’s some hope that you just never know if we were to get in. They have it in them as most of us know, but haven’t shown it half of the season. let’s see if they can play to their potential tomorrow night.
Wilson’s back so he could bully pettersen in front then it’s same as it ever was. We’re the faster more talented team though for sure. Moving forward We have a tough road against mostly playoff bound or contention teams. If they get in they will have to earn it. |

If they were to get into the playoffs, I'm not sure why people think it's a given that they'd get smoked. The team has been Jekyll and Hyde all year.
They could take the Bruins or Rangers to 7 games and win, or they could get swept. Neither would surprise me at all but I don't think it's a given that they're going to get crushed if they get in. |

Crosby might be sufficiently pissed enough that it could be an interesting series. I think if Letang and Karlsson can settle into a groove anything could happen. |

Was it you that talked about the Guentzal "mourning period" lol. Anyway, he's over it.
EK had a really nice game last night.

I don't know how it will work with the cap and emergency call up's etc... But this St. Ivany kid is solid. Praying they don't have to send him down. |

Don’t think I used that phrase but reports said Crosby was mad about the trade so sure that is a factor at play here. |

He's been really solid, and the coaches trust him enough already to give him over 15 mins last night, which let EK and Letang each play only 22 mins. Having him next year to help keep those guys minutes down to keep them fresher will be huge. |

Might be the best thing Hextall did for this team.

Keeping Acciari, Nieto, and Graves on IR for two more weeks is all we need to know. I haven't heard if any of those three have begun skating yet. |

Win or lose, I am enjoying watching this team play younger guys. The icing on the cake would be if these kids help us make the playoffs. It's kind of a big FU to Sullivan. |

I might flip out if the two Finns get booted from the lineup for Acciari and Nieto |
