Nelson should have broke his jaw For that cross check. Glad his cancerous attitude is gone from the guins roster. |

Cross check a guy in the face, turn and look for your teammates. Yeah I know, Nelson tapped his shin pads a few times. |

I wouldn't break Nelson's jaw as there is a good chance it improves his face. |

What's the chances these guys actually get into a game? If it were Sully, I'd say not good. Maybe Dubas will mandate a couple get playing time.

I'm curious to see the WBS lines. It feels like they added half a team between prospects added and guys sent down. |

Just be an Islanders fan already. You still get to post here even after finally admitting to yourself that your favorite team is not the Penguins. |

Just not a Carolina or Guentzel fan, but I’m also not a set settings to default Penguins fan. Guentzel scored some goals and was a little female dog for the guins for years, then he was a little female dog in the media, then he was a little female dog after scoring an empty netter. Dudes a little female dog. I can’t root for that. |

This usually happens where a bunch of prospects make their way to the team for the playoffs. This is the first year we are getting tons of hype (probably because our prospect pool is a bit better this year). |

Its a common thing for some to go to WBS this time of year, for sure, but to me it's seems like a lot more than usual haha

Interesting insights from a fan of the team that consistently rejects, trades or releases skill players. You would probably like him better if he was a 200 foot, body checking, rock-hands fighter. If you do stop to think (which we are not assuming), maybe comments like this might explain why it is 49 years since the flyers actually won a cup. |

Out of curiosity, who are the skill players that Philly "consistently rejects, trades or releases" more so than most other teams?
I'm not saying that OP made a comment that contributed to the conversation in any way, shape or form. Just asking who you had in mind. |

Jeff Carter, Mike Richard’s. Only one that comes to mind
Edit. I guess Carter was turned into Vorachek and Coulturier. So not like it was a wash. Although Carter always had that poop that legends have. |

At one point it was 3GA on 11 shots before Vanny made it 3-1. Demko is week to week & likely to miss the remainder of this round or season with DeSmith between the pipes. The castaway Penguins are looking screwed. If NSH doesnt run out of gas & they get league avg. from Saros its prob enough to move-on w/ Demko out. |

They saw the writing on the wall with Richards' body breaking down and his pill addiction, and they ended up getting Wayne Simmonds(who ended up being a 30-goal scorer) and Brayden Schenn (considered the best prospect not in the NHL.) Not exactly two knuckle draggers.
Jeff Carter was traded for Voracek and the 8th overall pick. Carter was good, but always seemed like there was just a bit more that he had that he never really reached for.
The only ones in recent memory than stand out are Kevin Hayes (who was sulking about being healthy scratched one time) and Tony DeAngelo who, surprise surprise, had locker room issues. |

You fumbled Johnny Hockey but I think that was just Fletcher being bad at his job in general and not some grand plan to spurn skilled players in favor of Neanderthals |
