Put all your rants here. I'm still processing this. Not sure if I can summon a rational response right now. |

Couple of kids who may never see the NHL and a late first. Seems like a proper shafting to me. Although nothing is certain, Pitts. is likely to win the cup this year giving Iggy his prize and opening the door for a re-sign in Calgary. If that pans out then it's not that bad of a return. If it doesn't, we'll all be cursing this one for awhile. |

I feel for you guys. I literally don't know anybody who doesn't think the world of Iginla - I hope your new acquisitions defy the odds and make a positive impact for your Flames... |

Your avatar pretty much sums it up for me Kaspar. Pains me to say it, but this trigger should have been pulled a couple years ago. All that waiting this long has done is cap another slug in the corpse. |

It should be noted that Iginla himself choose the Pens offer. If Feaster was given a "blank check" type list, he'd be in Boston today...
though the Boston deal wasn't a hell of a lot better : / |

well they could have kept him for 15 meaningless games and lost him for nothing, I'll take the 1st. Iggy is the emotional one but Jaybo has the real value |

Jaybo is a he'll of a player, one factor that may limit his return is the declining cap next Season and his salary. It will be a smaller number of teams bidding for him |

I am not sure why people thought the Flames were going to get a lot for Iggy. His NTC basically destroyed his value in terms of return. The teams that knew they were in the hunt weren't going to offer their best knowing he would choose where he wanted to go.
I am just glad we got something! Now Feaster can use that extra first rounder on some high school kid from Argentina that he saw play when he was on some holiday. |

Flames can eat some of the cap hit, they have a TON of space with Iggy off the books and others coming off.
Jaybo at 5 million is likely the biggest guy at the deadline |

Hanowski has now played one game in the NHL and scored a goal, that didn't take long |
