well, loosely, some can be considered artist which traditionally have had an influence on politics in all countries. Worse is actors. People who read others thoughts for a living.

In the end everyone will use words and thoughts from other people to form an opinion.

The disconnect comes from the populace being too lazy to read across the spectrum to arrive at an educated decision.

Most will just read information that reinforces their initial views. if at all.

Some of my friends' parents vote republican strictly because they know they'll do whatever Israel wants (most of them aren't voting for Trump though).

This is their reasoning: Conservatives believe that when Jesus returns, he will return in Israel and needs to be surrounded by Jews, so they will do anything-by any means necessary-to make sure Jews retain control of Israel.

Conservatives probably had an opportunity to gain more of the Jewish vote, but like they've done with every opportunity to expand, they chose bigotry instead.
