Hope Maroon does well for you guys. He's had a rough season but I'm hoping he can get it going in Edmonton. |

At least now there are two reasons to watch the games: McDavid, and finally some guys on our team throwing big hits! |
|
|
|
Hope they ride the big momentum - and beat the Sabres- just to keep the Sabre trolls away... And to spin that Connor vs Jack thing even further... |

I think McD's having a big game today. It'll be interesting to see the energy and compete of the team these last 18 games or so.
The whole team should be energized with turnover machine Shultz gone. Looking forward to watching Maroon.
C'mon Connor , show Eichel who the top dog is! |

Projected Sabres lineup:
Evander Kane - Jack Eichel - Sam Reinhart
Marcus Foligno - Johan Larsson - Brian Gionta
Dan Catenacci - Cal O'Reilly - Zemgus Girgensons
Nicolas Deslauriers - David Legwand - Matt Moulson
Josh Gorges - Rasmus Ristolainen
Jake McCabe - Zach Bogosian
Carlo Colaiacovo - Mark Pysyk
Robin Lehner
With all due respect to Buffalo fans, the Oil should beat this team.
Will they though?

Wrong again. I give PC loads of credit for some of the value contracts, the Sekeras signing, stabilizing our goaltending, etc....but we're still in last place . I know why we're still there and I understand and don't blame him....just like I u detector why we were where we were with Mac T and do t really blame either, it's a hard job. It's these other mungers that don't get it. - TheIronSheik
Once again I'm not saying whether or not you've ever given PC credit where it is due. I'm saying when you get into this constant female dog-fest with the sole purpose of analyzing PCs moves in a negative light in order to somehow prove MacT witch-hunters wrong you undermine all of the potentially (somewhat) objective analysis you may or may not have actually done. Because you have an agenda that is as clear as Hendos, and it skews your analysis into a substantial bias that is clear as day to read. In other words, we all know you think MacT was unfairly treated, but when you engage with those idiots who are stroking PC (for what's really closer to a wash between the two so far for all intents and purposes) and you use an analysis of PCs tenure to prove that they are wrong about MacT, your analysis of PCs tenure is inherently biased and it is completely obvious to any reader.
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with your above post, in fact I agree with it, I'm just specifying that this blatant bias I'm talking about isn't necessarily your actual position all of the time but it clearly is when you get into a female dog-fest with Hendo and it just makes it look like you are stooping to his level. I don't know why I should be telling you to be the bigger man instead of him, but maybe it's because I think you are more likely to actually do it. |

I would love to analyze PC for you. But he has done very little. I'll give it a shot.
Hire Todd: the Oilers and Mact were already in discussions with Tmac when PC was hired. He was the best available coach since Babcock already informed them he was not an option. C+
Trade for Talbot: again he finalized it but it was a deal already in place between Mact and Sather. According to Sather himself. C+
Traded Boyd Gordon for Korpikoski. D
Traded basically Marincin for Gryba. B
Sign Letestu. C
Sign Sekera. Been pretty solid. Overpaid a bit in term and trade clauses but not an issue so far. A-
Signed Nillson. Meh. He had a good stretch. C
Trade for Griffin Reinhart. Again this has Bob Greens finger prints all over it but he finalized it. F
Trade Schultz. He was working with a diminished asset and should have moved sooner. Got a third but other guys brought back much better returns. C-
Trade Purcell. Again got an asset but other similar players brought back significantly better returns.C
Traded Scrivens for Kassian. Low risk high reward. So far looks good. B
Traded for Maroon. Again low risk high reward but yet to be determined. C + but could go way up
Overall: he took over a poopty team with tons of assets and got McDavid. Yet some how we are even pooptier. Overall grade D. - Iggysbff
My point is that the credibility and objectivity of those letter grades (regardless of their accuracy in reality) has been completely undermined by your constant participation in this female dog fest where you guys try and (essentially) bash PC in order to make the MacT hunters look wrong.
In other words, you and Jero to some degree have a bias that you'd rather prefer to see PCs moves in a negative light (at least more so) because it furthers your agenda in this continuous childish squabble with Hendo. Now that's not to say that you don't have a reasonable analysis above, I'm saying this analysis now has to be taken with a huge grain of salt because of your outside motive which is to prove to people that MacT was no worse than PC. And regardless of what he was, the fact that before the analysis I already know that that's what you want to prove (because it favors your argument) makes your analysis inherently biased and lacking credibility.

You should beat us hands down. Only thing keeping us in games lately has been Goaltending and lucky bounce goals. I'm not actively rooting for us to lose, but don't mind the best chance we can get at a top 3 pick, especially with ROR and Ennis out. |

Ugh Garth's blog makes me sick for humanity.
McDavid channeled his inner Boring Sean Monahan when he offered this dish of vanilla custard:
"For both of us, it's just Buffalo vs. Edmonton and that's that", on playing against Eichel for the first time in his NHL career tonight.
- Barf
Even though two lines above he quotes Eichel saying essentially the exact same thing but doesn't preface it with some stupid chirp. |

Lol. I don't have any agenda against PC. I want moves that make us better and get us deep into the playoffs. I could give a (frank) who it is making the moves. Fact is we have more assets now than ever and we are still last. |

Should be an exciting game... Both teams have a really good shot at worst in the league title again. Wonder who's going to lose. So exciting!! |

But that's not at all how it comes across when you guys get into it about the MacT v PC crap. |
