thats one solid truth from last night, Hamilton was a non factor.

Liked Connelly on the 4th line, if only because it was fewer minutes. Lets face it, they barely beat the lowly flames, they could be on the outside looking in by the end of the month with this schedule.

I totally expected Hamilton to break down in tears, fall to the ground, and proclaim that it a monumental mistake to leave the Bruins in favor of his new team when asked if he regretted it.

B's usually show up for bigger teams. lets hope they can show some grit and pull out some wins vs these big teams. The Big Boys have to start showing up and producing.

Boring game, B's played down to the Flames level. Willing to write it off as the first game with the new guys. You only get one game like that though, so they need to get it in gear starting now.

New 4th line gives me hope that theres a been a shift in philosophy for the bottom-6. Hayes and Connolly should rotate at 3RW/4RW to keep a fire lit under both of them.

I wouldn't have called it boring. I thought Stempniak looked good with Bergeron. Cycled pretty well. Could have easily been a 3 or 4 goal game had they connected. (But Calgary got robbed on that save of the game)

I do like this though. I'm really not a fan of Hayes. He's softer than Hal Gill.
His 2.3 million would be better spent giving Eriksson the raise. (Or resigning Stempniak to a small contract, hopefully around a million).

I just really want to like Connolly and have him pan out..

Don't you have to be somewhere huffing glue and throwing D-cell batteries troglodyte?

What happend with Dougie in Boston anyway? Didn't get along with teammates? I heard something about he and Reily Smith being the only 2 players not showing up to some team function.... or somehting like that.

Listen, I tried my hardest. I was very insulting, threw garbage, broke all of his sticks, and was promptly asked to leave the building.

Its a good question.
I have to think it was a personality conflict with the strict system Julien. Dougie was groomed for a few years and was probably given some tough love. Perhaps he wasn't able to handle that. I wish he would have held on as he had a really bright future in Boston. We miss him. Well maybe we don't miss Dougie, but we miss having a young top4 dman that was set to become our future #1.

Love me some Jurcina. Fastforward to 2 minutes (unless you love Brad Stuart too!) I remember that Tampa game and San Jose game like it was yesterday. Really thought Jurcina would blossom...

Yeah.

Not so much.

Meeting Jurcina. Lucky guy.

I liked him too, shortlived. He was pretty speedy wasn't he?

Who we really need though is some Jiri Slegr in this lineup

There was also some talk about Dougie's parents wanting the Bruins to acquire Freddie as a condition of Dougie re-signing in Boston. The Bruins weren't going to plan for that, so he requested the trade. Lo and behold, the Flames went out and acquired Freddie per Mummy and Daddy's wishes.
