So jenner is on pace for 25 goals and brings a physical presence , I fail to see why he did not make the initial roster.

Hi Paul,

Nice article, and I am glad the CBJ is getting some people in the event.

The question I have is simply: "Why should I care?"

This is a meaningless exhibition, a notch below the Olympics, and there is no world championship or anything else at stake. I want the CBJ to win the real world Championship, The Stanley Cup.

If you or anyone has an explanation for why I should care, please post it.

Thanks!

I honestly don't care , for this is all a gimmick because the nhl is not making money off the Olympics . The title for world hockey supremacy has and always will be the Olympics for me , not some side show made of six countries and two petty teams.

I will watch because I enjoy hockey, but I don't have some undying enthusiasm for the event. It will always be below the olympics in this sport, I think.

Honestly, I wish Bob wasn't invited. My main concern for this event is a player of ours getting hurt before the season begins. It's an honor for these guys, I get it, but the risk of an injury is real.

Its a fair question. Its a gimmick event but still, its competitive hockey when there normally isnt any.

As far as the Jackets go I think could be a real good learning opportunity for the young guys and a chance to further develop. Murray and Jones will be up against all star lines and will have to try and learn how to shut them down. That should help them and will help the Jackets.
