Need a HockeyBuzz Hotstove on King books. Needful Things and 11/22/63 need to be in the top 5. |

Those are both very cool books - especially Needful Things which I feel was like the very last book that feels like King in the 80s (maybe that makes sense to someone) - but I don't think either can be top five.

Thoughts on Idris Elba as the gunslinger? I hope that movie isn't as terrible as most King adaptations. |

James if you haven't heard it already, you should find the Live in Toronto Canada recording of Fluffy. I was in the audience for that gig, and it remains the best live show I've ever seen. The roof was blown off the Phoenix that night. |

Sid, Kuch, Ovi, Tarasenko, Letang
I wouldn't worry about keeping matt Murray, coming into camp there's gonna be a battle for no. 1 job and there's really no idea who's going to win it. I don't think he's guaranteed no. 1 at all. Keep the elite of the elite and fill the rest in later. So by the end of the draft, all the goalies will be taken? I'm used to only having 2 maybe 3 on a roster and juggling goalies all season. That's kinda tough.
You could probably make a case for Hall over Letang too, but by the 4th round, will all the elite Dmen be off the board? You already have 4 studs on forward, at least give yourself an advantage on D with Letang. He was a stud after Sully took over in Pitt. |

Needful things should be there.
And while not as intricate and certainly a brutal brutal movie adaptation, 'salems lot' is a brilliant book.
Ovie, tarasenko, kucherov, letang, byfuglien
Goals are worth their weight as their tough to come by. Ovie and tarasenko are gold.
Kucherov is a full fledged stud now. Pretty much carried my injury riddled fantasy team into the playoffs last year.
Added two great dmen assuming you want some balance. (We added d points to ours as it makes them a little more valuable than normal and puts some priority on acquiring them. Generally they don't matter much as a mediocre forward will produce as many points as many top flight defenders)
Maybe switch letang for hall
Sell high on Sid. Get s stud goalie and another guy that's gonna give u assists.
I know ur not a huge fan of quick, but he's a pretty safe bet for wins and decent stats behind la's style. I always go for him in drafts as he can produce top level, but is generally able to be taken later.
Bishop is money too. But taken quickly.
I'm surprised you asked, but price is easily the best fantasy and real life goalie. Ridiculous numbers.
- 2 goalies and acquire one later. (Changes and injuries always happen)
Win now. Your team is stacked. Worry about draft picks when ur in that mode. Which isn't now
Also, joy division

I agree with the above, with only one possible change....Tarasenko and Hall could be interchanged, depending on who you like to follow. I think both players will have similar value in this type of league.
I also think you need to keep Letang for the same reasons above. |

I think King's movies get a bad rap. There have been a ton of great ones. I think Elba will be a great Gunslinger. Who care if he's black - the whole controversy is ridiculous.
I love the Dark Tower and can't wait for the films.

Good advice. I currently leaning towards OV, Crosby, Hall, Tarasenko and MacKinnon.
But I need to get some draft picks. I also don't wanna lose Kucharov.
You think for a keeper league Letang > Ekblad? |

This is some solid advice, I've definitely been considering Crosby. One guy has Price and Schneider and won't trade either so I might go for Bishop/

Agreed, Stringer Bell was easily my favorite character on The Wire, yes, even over Omar.
But I'm skeptical. I've seen to many good books ruined. |

I've read Kings books since I was eight years old
-That's what happened to you , but truly that doesn't sound healthy...not sure I'd let me 10 yr old read any King books yet.

Depends on what you see Ekblad's ceiling on production being. He never put up over 60 points in juniors, I personally don't think he'd eclipse that in the show either. With Letang, barring an injury, he could put up anywhere from 70-85 on Sully's system. |

Hey James, How does the blogger pay work on Hockeybuzz
-By Article, View count, Comments, etc?
I'm just wondering why certain bloggers continuously post so much crap on here, and some never bother to do it at all it seems
Seems some guys just go by pure volume of trash articles, yet some guys rarely bother to write (looking at Dan Spiegel) because they don't get the hit count when they do anyways
You write everyday and your hits and comments are huge, you must be doing alright? |
