The only remaining drama to be had over the next four-plus weeks before clubs assemble for training camp are a number of young restricted free agents who did not have arbitration rights and are looking for new deals.

We will look at a number of them over the next few days, and the next on the list is Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman. The 25-year-old split time with Vezina winner Linus Ullmark in the regular season, but made all but one of the starts in Boston’s playoff victory over Toronto and loss to Florida.

The Bruins felt so confident in Swayman’s ability to be their primary starter that they moved Ullmark to Ottawa, but now they have to get him extended. Boston could choose to go with a bridge deal with three years left before he qualifies for unrestricted free agency, but that risks a higher price tag if he puts up excellent numbers.

Ty Anderson believes that Swayman's camp might ask for $9 million on a long-term deal, with the cap going up, but that he possibly could take the usual Bruins discount and settle for something in the $8 million AAV range. That would pay him more than Vezina winner Connor Hellebuyck and on par with Ilya Sorokin.

What do you think Swayman will get and for how long?
