Spent the last 48 hours or so catching up with all kinds of sources throughout the NHL and there are some definite hotspots of talk as you will see on the rumor chart...

On Colorado and LA search for a goalie...
The big name is of course Shesterkin...and from what I understand Colorado would have a better shot than LA simply because they have some more serious parts to offer up in a trade.

The Avalanche and Kings have both looked at Vanacek, but the belief is this is more of a plan B/C scenario...However, Vanacek has shown an ability to play better when the competitiveness rises...So far he is 0-4 with the Sharks, but the team has only scored 3 goals in the 4 games.

On Provorov....
He may end up being the top D man at the deadline, but teams are already discussing him internally...The teams I hear...Seattle is VERY high on him...Pittsburgh and even Edmonton have their radar is up.

On Marner...
Of course the big name to look at this year is Mitch Marner... Nothing is imminent, but as the days go by without an extension other teams are forced to start planning, since getting a 10-11 million dollar player is extremely difficult. I keep hearing a few different teams exploring..The Flyers have always loved Marner...and have so many rookie contracts they could manage it.
